He Yu Declines Reunion C-drama with Yu Shu Xin and New Male Lead is Likely Hu Yi Tian
Well if the goal is to trade one very tall actor for another then I guess this works. But it’s totally not the same level of onscreen charisma and acting talent lol. Xianxia C-drama Fairy Meat (神仙肉 Shen Xian Ruo or Immortal Flesh) with female lead Yu Shu Xin was supposed to costar He Yu in a reunion of the two leads from last year’s modern romanceSpeed and Love. But he has declined, reportedly the gossip is that he doesn’t want to be tied to Yu Shu Xin and milk the same CP buzz plus her fandom is very pushy and his fandom doesn’t like it. The production was slated to start filming soon so the search is on fast pace for a male lead, and earlier talks ofChen Xing Xu or Hou Ming Hao were just chatter and the real candidate is Hu Yi Tian. Hu Yi Tian paired with Yu Shu Xin feels like an intentional diametrically opposites onscreen, she overacts and goes cutesy and he underacts goes poker faced haha. If this happens either way it’ll be entertaining.
Both have awful acting skills. Hu Yi Tian’s ego got the better of him, and he ended up stuck for years. Any offer he gets will be fine, since he doesn’t have strong backers or connections. He can’t be demanding like he tried to be before, even though he wasn’t relevant enough back then.

I know Esther Yu is here because of nepotism even though her appeal as an actress is low. But Hu Yu Tian, even as a rookie had delusions of grandeur. Not considering he had nothing and no one to back him up lmao.
Both of them are absolutely terrible actors that shouldn’t be anywhere near lead roles but here we are. Another ruined drama before it even started.

I’m glad it’s Hu Yitian and not Chen Xingxu. Chen Xingxu is too talented for Esther Yu although I’m curious how he would react when he has to do couple stuff with her during drama promotion.
And it is rumoured they will use AI for the supporting characters. Is this a low budget drama?

That will be an interesting pairing – since Esther Yu tries to do too much and HYT does too little. I also feel like HYT may be better served to just not pick up dramas with a romance component.
Hu Yi Tian is sooooo bland. He’s like the male version of Chen Dou Ling back in the days. He was good as Jiang Chen and nothing else.
However, HYT and Esther Yu did have a good rapport when they were on Chinese Restaurant, not sure about actual chemistry.
What a nightmare pairing. Terrible on different ends of the acting spectrum. Couldn’t be less excited about a drama

More likely he yu got dropped because his friends likes negative post about esther and implying he badmouthed her in the back. You can’t sell cp chemistry if people know that. The director that backing him also got dropped so he can’t cling to this drama again. His team and studio always buy hs that insist he still got the role before, but now they pulls the he rejected the role as the reason he got kicked out.
