Song Hye Kyo Leaves UAA After 14 Years and Goes Solo with Her Own Agency
This is a big move in K-ent and only time will tell if it’s the right decision. Top actress Song Hye Kyo has announced that she’s parted way with long time agency UAA (United Artists Agency) after 14 years, an amicable decision almost like the time has come. She will be going forth solo in her own established agency. This is the agency that got her the roles in Descendants of the Sun and The Glory, her two biggest hits in the last ten years, and really helped elevate and cultivate that top actress image with lots of big European couture brand endorsements and campaigns. It’ll be interesting to see how she navigates this next phase of her career, but it does help she has an already filmed big drama on deck with Tantara costarring Gong Yoo.

she is 44 years already–not many drama roles other than mom or older sister that she can take. I think she is done with her acting carrier and now enjoying her life. good luck to her. Autumn in my heart and ALL in are among her dramas that I like the most.
Lol the energy from that comment smells…alright I am not gonna say it
Except she’s not just any other actress, she’s freaking Song Hye Kyo lol. Even older actresses still land roles that aren’t mothers or older sisters, I’m sure top actress Song Hye Kyo can too
You are free to like actress acting or not but, but saying her career is over because she is in her 40s shows you are shallow and have zero right to judge an actor’s ability, and you wouldn’t have said that if she were a man
The OP must be way older than SHK, lol. What younger viewers are still stuck on Autumn in My Heart and All In? 😠The OP completely exposed her own backward, feudal mentality!!! Such an ignorant, condescending comment about an established actress. Imagine saying that about Meryl Streep!
Imagine comparing SHK to Meryl Streep lol! That was funny.
Best wishes to her! Must have been a difficult decision to make. I hope there are some trustworthy people around her to help with her going solo with her own agency.
It’s not so much a decision as she seemed to have no choice. Other UAA artists are jumping ship too. I wonder what’s going on with that agency. Rumors say that the CEO is retiring.
