Modern Thriller Romance C-drama Winner Reportedly to Start Filming Next Month July 2026 with Tian Xi Wei and Wei Da Xun
The modern C-drama Winner (赢家 Ying Jia) is reportedly slated to start filming next month towards the end of July 2026. it’s a brisk 24-episode S+ budget drama with the female lead having her life destroyed and then taking over the life of a rich heiress to plot her revenge step by step. The leads are going to be Tian Xi Wei and Wei Da Xun, by all accounts this is confirmed from the production and their agencies, and doesn’t impact other dramas both have been rumored for the past few months as many of those projects are far from kicking off filming. Billing will of course be by stroke order though this drama from the story sounds female lead centric and would be a great change of genre for Tian Xi Wei after a slew of period dramas on her resume the past few years.
Excited for this! Though it does seem intense.
I like how Tian Xi Wei varies her dramas. Tian Xi Wei was in the modern police comedy, Born with Luck, recently too. Youth romance, Genius Girlfriend, is also waiting to be aired.
People claim her acting is better than Zhang Linghe’s in POJ and should get more buzz, but where are the fans to support her? No comments???? It’s like nobody cares! lol. Detractors just use ZLH’s costars to diss him. However, I don’t see real passion for her anywhere. POJ is actually the only Tian Xiwei drama I’ve finished, and she’s great in it. The drama elevated everyone, cast and director alike, but let’s see if they can keep up with the fame.
