Mini C-drama Actress Guo Yu Xin Faces Fallout From Leaked Audio Where She Disses Zhou Ye After Wearing the Same Outfit Two Separate Times
C-ent is starting off the first week of July scalding hot in terms of tea. Over the weekend, mini drama female lead actress Guo Yu Xin made all the hot searches after an audio was leaked of her complaining about wearing the same outfit twice with Zhou Ye, who is a much more successful and famous actress, but Guo Yu Xin actually had the audacity to say that it wasn’t clear who was clout farming who with the same outfits. Yeah, sure Jan, because I had to Google Guo Yu Xin to figure out who she was when this story broke lol. Further audio leaks also has her complaining about other actors on set and generally being quite catty. The fallout on her is big, as reportedly period C-drama The Lament of Autumn with Cheng Lei and Xu Ruo Han which was tentatively scheduled for a September premiere in just two months is now in a state of tizzy because Guo Yu Xin plays the second lead there and there may be a chance she’s getting cancelled or at least iced for a period until this all blows over.
I have no idea who she is either because I don’t watch short dramas. But damn, it must be scary to be a celebrity because you can be gossiping in your free time and someone would record and expose you. You really have to be careful on who you trust.
She’s pretty popular in short, vertical dramas – especially since she was the female lead in one of the most popular ones, National Husband.
I think they’re still trying to verify if the audio is legit. Not sure how much of this is she is having a dispute with her agency or maybe she really is unpleasant to work with or both.
Although it’s not particularly decent or good to gossip/diss someone, doing it in her private time doesn’t make someone a super villain. I think every human is guilty with the same sin more or less once in their life time. Hope she’s not get punished beyond her minor misdeed.
She actually is popular, some of these short drama actors are doing quite decently and absolutely not worse than some “stars” of short dramas.
I actually didn’t see all that much backlash. Nobody even knows if this thing is real and even if it is, she was bitching in private. She should just say it’s AI and ignore it.
I truly enjoy a number of her projects. She is a good actress. Honestly, words taken out of context can really harm people. She better be watchful who she speaks to.
I love short dramas and Guo is well known there and one of the favorites. She’s a good actress. Hope there’s no fallout, esp. if it’s fake. You don’t know how popular short dramas are now. I see quite a few long format actors have migrated over. There have been some excellent output, like The Story of Song Li, which is now one of my favorites to rewatch.
Well, Zhou Ye looks better in the outfits, marginally, so the other one should just get a heads up on her wardrobe and shop for others.
Maybe they’re just better ironed in which case she should sack her ironer.
