So I guess a binge watch is in store for December 30th, when all 8 episodes of the first season of K-drama The Glory drops on Netflix. The cast and crew held a press conference this week and confirmed that the drama will be split into two seasons, so the year end premiere is season 1 and season 2 will be released in March with also 8 episodes. Kim Eun Sook penned dramas have done really well on Netflix streaming but this is her first foray into a streaming only production and one that is darker and more serious than any other drama she’s written before. She was at the press conference debuting a completely silver fox look that is incredibly attractive and she is also a star of this drama with her hitmaker cred so a lot of questions were directed at her. Leads Song Hye Kyo and Lee Do Hyun look like older sister-younger brother on stage but hopefully their onscreen characters and chemistry will make the reel relationship work whatever it is. Lim Ji Yeon, Park, Sung Hoon, and Yeom Hye Ran round out the main cast and everyone came color coordinated in black and white to better showcase the darker theme of this drama centered around the consequences of high school bullying.
Long preview for The Glory:

Kim Eun Sook already stated in the press con there is NO LOVE LINE in the drama between SHG and LDH. They are simply camaderies in the common goal of taking out her bullies.
Reviews of the first 6 episodes that were released to the media said there were hints of a love line which seems a bit detached from the main revenge plotline and which we have to watch Part 2 to find out of it remains one-sided on LDH’s part.
Wow… can’t wait!
Saw The Glory twice it’s a Masterpiece Does anyone know where the press conference link with English subtitles is
