Period C-drama Reborn for Love with Jing Tian and Zhang Ling He Scheduled for Next Month July 2024 Release

It’s been a good couple of months in C-drama land, I feel like there was always a drama to check out and/or watch since The Legend of Shen Li arrived in March, or maybe earlier since In Blossom became a dark horse hit. So The Double is ending this week and I’m glad there is news of upcoming dramas on the radar that interest me. Reborn for Love with Jing Tian and Zhang Ling He is reportedly slated for an early July 2024 release which is right around the corner. There are also murmurings that his drama with Zhao Jin Mai in The Princess Royal was coming but the first one to get industry confirmed report on airing is Reborn so I think Princess may get pushed out rather than have two of his dramas go up against each other. I feel like half a year without Zhang Ling He was the breather I needed since he was all over C-drama land last year in 2023 with Story of Kunning Palace, Tiger and Crane, and My Journey to You, and no I’m not counting his guest starring recently in Fox Spirit Matchmaker because I dipped early on that one. He improved in MJTY and was impressively from all accounts in Kunning Palace, plus Jing Tian was such love for me in her performance and character in last year’s deliciously watchable Wonderland of Love, I’m really looking forward to their pairing here.

  2. This Zhang Ling He guy acts better than Wang Xing Yue but for moronic reasons there are stinky h*es on here spreading lies about him. LOOOOL! They are saying he is so promising. There are brainless users than thinks he has the whole package: looks, talent, voice. He maybe has the looks but his voice is FAKE! 😂😂😂😂

      • @Selfish His profession is literally being reasonably good at acting. If his agency partners are not self-aware about what it means to be an actor, it is not Wang Xing Yue’s fault. And even less so when some of them have been directly involved in leading roles longer than he has. Before you call me his fan, I’m not one yet. But I’m sold to his acting in THE DOUBLE.

      • @Drea, Me neither a fan of WXY yet but also found him charismatic in the Double. I’ll pay attention to him from now on.

      • @Somebody, for me one good acting is still not enough, but I will definitely write wonders about his work in The Double. It even looks like he had an upgrade in looks because he didn’t look this good in SOKP or AASOL. Lol.

      • @Drea, he hadn’t caught my attention until the Double. He was just like one among an ocean of newbies in the industry. LOL. But he has such strong and hot presence in the Double even though his screen time is way less than the FL. I’m rooting for him now to see if he will grow successfully. Hopefully his agency (known to be managed by a C-ent beach LOL) will not ruin him. LOL.

      • @Somebody He even surprised me with his good skills at dubbing himself. If he continues with this level or if he improves it even more, I will definitely become his fan. I already have 00 actors that I like but they are not yet as impressive as WXY in The Double.

  3. I’m kind of looking forward to this one. I have a bit of a soft spot for him ever since Fairy and Devil, and I really liked her in Wonderland. I think their both good at generating chemistry, at least in the shows I’ve seen, so I’m hopeful they’ll be great together.

  4. I’ll probably tune in to Reborn to check it out. On the other hand, I’m actually looking forward to the Princess one though.

  5. What about Lost You Forever s2? It was reportedly slated for July as well. Right? I hate it when the 2nd season takes so long to be aired. It almost lost the momentum.

Will give this drama a try.

  6. I may check it out. Neither of them is extremely popular . But who knows the drama may be a surprising hit like the Double. Since there’s one unhinged banana particularly allergic to Wang Xinyue, I don’t mind mentioning his name randomly. LOL.

  7. Him again? He can’t act. A great example of hot looks and being pushed because of them even though there is not else there.

    • I always see international fans praising him for his acting in SOKP but cnetizens thought he was awful. Novel readers who also loved the character thought he ruined it with his overacting. I find international cdrama viewers have lower standards on average.

      • @eh on

He *was* awful in SOKP. I still see praises for that drama here and there and I am left boggling. I guess their standards really are abysmal.

  8. There are way too many C-dramas with the word “Love” in the title so far this year. Lol. But I’m looking forward to the release of Love in the Desert because I’ve been waiting to see Hankiz Omar and Fang Yilun in main roles for a long time.
