Shin Hye Sun and Lee Joon Hyuk in Talks for Thriller Web K-drama Lady Dior

I’ve heard mixed things about Shin Hye Sun and her currently airing K-drama Dear Hyeri but my aversion to her male lead makes me skip unless it’s trending as a seminal work. So I’m extra excited to hear she’s already in talks for her next drama titled Lady Dior and it’s definitely named after the French couture house. She would be playing a Korean-American hustler who aspires to run a fashion empire even if using counterfeit goods. Her male lead is also a great pick if he accepts, it’s Lee Joon Hyuk who has a a career trajectory like Namgoong Min, a lot of supporting roles in his thirties and now in his forties he’s leveled up to male lead with interesting projects. This drama is slated for streaming only and with a brisk 8-episodes.

  2. Heck yes, finally a break from the odd romance drama’s she’s been doing. And it’s a reunion too so chemistry with these two is guaranteed.

  3. I’m not a fan of her current male lead either. I think he’s a terribly bland actor and kind of awkward in the emotional scenes. I’ve never seen Lee Joonhyuk, but it sounds like he paid his dues to get elevated to male lead. Hopefully he’s good! It’s been a while since I’ve completed a Shin Hyesun drama.

  4. Finally. FINALLY.

Her last 3 drama male leads were just not it for me and her most current one is unwatchable. I wouldn’t touch that drama even if it won an Oscars but this – this I can so get behind. Love them both and I’m pumped.

Also, it’s funny how Koala compared LJH with NGM, because actually I always found them to have some resemblance in the way they speak.

  5. Love SHS but I also wish she’s more selective. Some of her recent choices are terrible and looking at the production, synopsis or costars, I’m not sure what enticed her to go for it. None of them scream run, but none scream YouMust either. Samdalriwas ok and did well domestically even if it made no splash internationally but 19th life was abysmal. Dear Hyeri is also been there done that. At least this new one sounds like it has an interesting title and synopsis. Counterfeit might be an upcoming trend. And her costar is a good actor but until we know the PD and Writer, it’s hard to feel excited. For her sake, I hope it’s a win.

    • Welcome to samdalri achieved very high ratings with zero promo, it did more then well, Shin Haesun should’ve gotten nominated but tbf it was a tough year! Chemistry wise her and JCW were amazing.I agree see you in my 19th life was a miss but what do u expect the male lead is not that great of an actor and didn’t suit the role. Regardless of the project Shin haesun always delivers, no doubt she will with this project.

  6. Oh, these 2 are reuniting so many years after Stranger! Coincidentally, LJH’s Stranger spinoff is currently airing and it’s rather funny and solid so far. Imo, SHS’s current drama is actually quite unique and thought-provoking but she has the hard job of carrying the ML who is AWFUL (both acting and character-wise) on her back. I’m excited for this one though.

  7. Crossing my fingers these two will work together again! I’m a fan of LJH’s works. And why isn’t his drama with Han Ji Min airing already?

  8. Dear Hyeri is an amazing show. She’s ‘that’ actress who can deliver her character well. But hell yeah, her male lead is just a turn off. I keep watching it for the story. I didnt finish a few of her previous dramas tho. But her acting is always on point.
