Park Bo Gum is Intense and Locked in as Boxer and Cop in First Poster and Teaser for jTBC Drama Good Boy
It’s May, hurray! I hate the fast passage of time most of the time except when it harkens the arrival of a drama or movie I’m anticipating. And this end of May will see jTBC drop Good Boy finally, and with it hopefully kickstarting a good summer in K-drama land. The drama stars Park Bo Gum and Kim So Hyun along with the supporting cast of Lee Sang Yi, Oh Jung Se, Heo Sung Tae, and Tae Won Seock all as former Olympic athletes turned police officers. The first poster focuses on male lead Park Bo Gum during his boxing days and my boy is looking so punched up but clearly relishing the fight. Love the huge juxtaposition for viewers who recently saw him as a different good boy as the best husband ever in When Life Gives You Tangerines so this will make for a great segue into a totally physical Park Bo Gum character onscreen.
Teaser for Good Boy:
This drama looks good…
Bogum looking rough and fighting the bad guys. Definitely seated!! Can’t wait to see the bromance with Lee Sangyi and Heo Sungtae. The comedy will be fun. Hopefully the plot is interesting from start to finish, the drama gets both the international and domestic buzz as well as high rating and critical acclaims. All the best for Good Boy.
Excited for this drama! Love everyone in the main cast and seen them in previous works. Storyline looks interesting as well. I haven’t been watching anything lately so can’t wait for this to premiere.
this is the spice of drama I love, looks so appetizing, the trialer makes me goosebumps. Bogum and the squad, good luck!
Good Boy Pls comes faster!
This drama tastes so DELICIOUS! after gwansik, its dongju!what will be the national title this time, the Nation’s Boxer or the Nation’s Police officer!!!
I have a very high expectation of this drama given the cast. Hopefully this won’t be disappointing.
I have been watching many law and order Kdramas and love them all. I used to like fantasy the best. Now, legal drama has become my new favorite genres. One of the reasons is that K writers and directors are really good at bringing out the most of humanity through very strong narratives on small screen. These legal dramas usually gave me the greatest gratification not feeling a waste of time on much BS like Cdrama LOL. Fantasy dramas are fascinating and entertaining but hard to achieve that kinda viewing experience with much inspiration in terms of deep reflection of humanity. Cases like classics, Lord of the Rings trilogy and Star War series, are exceptional and very few. I think it’s also tougher to film fantasy on small screen thanks to limited resources.
One premise to produce inspiring stories like what K legal dramas have been doing is freedom of speech that’s definitely a taboo in China. To this point, Cdrama is hopeless unless there’s a regime change.
