This C-drama in planning as been jumping around C-ent for over a year with potential top level male leads and start dates but it seems like it is finally locking down to get started. Period wuxia C-drama The One (adapted from the novel Sword Comes or Sword of Coming 剑来) will be headlining Wu Lei as the male lead in a strong male-lead centric story. The female lead in talks is Tian Xi Wei and based on her recent drama selections she is expected to accept this one. The drama if confirmed on the leads will start filming in the next few months and is expected to be a tentpole C-drama come later in 2026. I’m glad Wu Lei got his hiking, biking, outdoor life enjoyment hiatus in for the last two years and will be back on the small screen in a project that sounds interesting to me.
