First Teaser for Tencent Period Romance Mo Li with Bai Lu and Cheng Lei Evokes Conflict and Angst
So the recently aired xianxia C-drama Feud left me massively frustrated but at the plot and less at the leads. I still have a soft spot for Bai Lu and saw that she really tried hard and mostly delivered, at times it did feel like she was playing a prior performance I’ve seen before before but it also felt like she got handed similar characters to play. Which is why I’m cautiously optimistic for her currently filming period drama Mo Li ( 莫离) adapted from the novel Di Daughter’s Rebirth. She pairs up with simmering with intensity Cheng Lei in a married but enemies scenario that from the short teaser and post released seems to put her less as the calculating one but as the trying to navigate a complicated scenario one. This is definitely one of my top dramas to look forward to in 2026.

I’m not liking the teaser, it seems like they deviated much from the novel.
how much it deviate based on the your reading?? other than ML appearance
ML’s appearance is still ok as I assume they’re only showing the beginning portion where the ML has black hair. The FL’s character and the way FL and ML interacts with each other in this teaser is what bothers me.
the trailer is short but the leads convey lots of subtle feelings and not just focusing on aesthetic or sth
Yu Zheng admitted to buying heat for Feud so she doesn’t have to worry, he will buy it for this one too lol
Now ppl say anything to demean the value of heat. When it’s explained that iQiyi’s heat not only depends on views but also inapp purchases and character popularity which lulu’s fans have contributed. He said that he did his best for marketing not for buying heat. So kindly stop twisting facts. Feud got that heat in legit way with fan efforts and also views

Bailu is a very good actress, but she always get a same roles.. of course she delivered it very well. Just wish she can play roles of antagonist next time. 😘😘😘
Agreed. Once l commented that Bai lu should tried other roles then, her fans got so defensive & ‘ attacked’ me…quite rude to do that to me that used to teach drama in Malaysia, rite? …then, l reported it as abuse to Facebook team…hahaaa
