C-drama Scheduling Rumors Says Almost Lover with Zhao Lu Si and Peng Guan Ying Reportedly to Air in Q1 2026 with Massively Cut Down Episode Count
What a roller coaster of a year for C-actress Zhao Lu Si. From the lowest of lows with her conflict with her former agency and trying to break her contract and her illness to coming back with the success of Love’s Ambition that air dropped this summer. She only has one drama left that is filmed Almost Lover and recently there have been multiple rumors about it air dropped. The rumors include it being cut down to 8 episodes or 14 episodes which has made fans furious since that makes the story basically make no sense. But industry says it will be cut but not that much and what will happen is the two second leads will have a lot more screen time instead since the drama was only about 60-70% filmed.

Yes, this is called clearing out her works.
Her fans are in for a few surprises.
This is the one when she had health problems? It makes sense if that is so and her fans are just going to have to accept it because what more can they do? Time is money and maybe they could not take the expense and maybe did their best to make do with what they have. Should teach everyone the consequences of such situations. Not hating on the actress though. It just is what it is.
Acho que ao cortarem episódios, talvez o enredo da história perderá o sentido. Não seria responsável e legal para os fãs.
Didn’t Lusi come out to say her opinion that she thinks it shouldn’t be aired because the quality is not going to be good?
It’s surprising Love’s Ambition was such a huge success both domestically and internationally. The viewership of LA on a streaming site has even surpassed used-to-be-the-all-time greatest hit, the Knockout. As much as I loved her drama Love Like the Galaxy and enjoyed Hidden Love for most part, nowhere in LA intrigues me to get start passing ep1. Who pairs with a talented actress like Lusi still matters for me. Either William Chan or Peng Guan Ying just doesn’t work for me. Same reason for me to drop The Story of Pearl Girl. It’s rare nowadays to see a C drama with everything working together to tell an impressive story.
