L and Yoon So Hee Join MBC Drama Ruler: Master of the Mask with Leads Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun
This casting will definitely limit the possibility the second leads will steal the thunder from the main leads, but will also double up on the visuals for this drama so overall a win-win. Yoon So Hee and L (Kim Myung Soo) are confirmed for next year’s sageuk drama Ruler: Master of the Mask, which has already inked leads Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun. Yoo Seung Ho plays the crown prince of Joseon battling a powerful water rights owning sinister faction, and L’s character is the commoner doppleganger to the crown prince who learns to read and becomes his substitute. Yoon So Hee plays the woman who will give everything to win the prince’s love and Kim So Hyun is seeking revenge against the royal family but falls in love with the prince. Ruler premieres in early 2017 on MBC.
Yoon So Hee is all right as an actress though, it’s L people are more worried about.
There’s something oddly similar about this with Moonlight. It’s not the plot but I feel as if the casting director is trying to replicate MDBC casting. It’s like they’re casting actors who have similar characteristics/vibe as MDBC’s casts or maybe it’s just me. I just hope it’s good
Yeah they are definitely trying to make this the new Moonlight.
Out of all of the idol actors they cast L… The worst one outbid he bunch….but I read that he’s still considering. I hope he continues to consider
My Lovely L…That’s the only thing memorable from that drama, and the dog. LOL
Honestly I liked L in the drama She’s so lovable. For me, he had more chemistry with Krystal than Rain.
Anyway, there’is YSH so I don’t care about the casting ! I will watch it :p
I am so happy with this news. I wish she were the leading lady instead of that teenager.
Whoa!!! It’s nice to see L’s return. I seriously need a change because I have been watching such darkly-themed Hong Kong dramas lately (https://datcheebie.wordpress.com), which you might want to check out!
The cast looks promising. Will definitely give this drama a shot. Still not over the Moonlight’s afterdrama effect.
