tvN is putting more genre and serious fare in the Mon-Tues time slot, there’s subway cop investigative drama Catch the Ghost right now and next comes teaching school drama Black Dog in early December. Black Dog reminds me so much of J-doramas as the teacher inspiration and growth genre is done much more frequently there, and of course remade to K-dramas in the past with Queen of the Classroom and others. Starring Ra Mi Ran as the senior teacher and Seo Hyun Jin as the young idealistic new arrival teacher, the drama is set in the halls and classrooms of a high school and focuses on the teaching staff rather than the students.
