Latest Stills from King of Dramas with Kim Myung Min and Jung Ryeo Won

My anticipation for King of Dramas with Kim Myung Min and Jung Ryeo Won is one of calm hopefulness. While neither the cast nor the story sends me into a tizzy, conversely nothing turns me off this drama in the slightest. Since I’m also not watching Faith, looking forward to KoD means that Faith will soon be done and another drama can take its place. The first batches of stills have been released, showing Jung Ryeo Won’s scriptwriter character lurking around and interating with Choi Si Won’s top star, plus Kim Myung Min as production kingmaker Anthony Kim showing off his lordly ways in a sharp three-piece suit standing dramatically on a darkened stage. It’s been years since Kim Myung Min did a drama, and his Beethoven’s Virus was rather too dour for my tastes. In truth, I think the entire cast, including second female lead Oh Ji Eun, have a knack for broad comedy, so I hope KoD taps into that rather than going too serious or realistic like The World They Live In. I’m envisioning a funnier On Air, and hopefully with characters that are more endearing right off the bat. KoD premieres in early November on SBS.

  1. What is with that hair on the men? Are the 1990s back?

I have no interest in this drama whatsoever (I have already watched Worlds Within and On Air and Oh My Lady, thanks) but I hope for Jung Ryeo Won’s sake this does well, because she is just plain awesome.

  2. I find Kim Myung Min so incredibly attractive. Don’t know what it is. But *fans self*

Oh, shirtless Siwon! Didn’t even see you there. I mean, it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. ㅋㅋ
