Written and Video Preview for Episode 10 of Heirs

I don’t know if Heirs/The Inheritors needed a literal fist fight to jump start the energy levels, but it sure went a long way in doing that. There is no more intensity to milk in all the stare down your enemy if there are no further stakes? Tan is right when he says Young Do will never reveal his trump card on Tan’s illegitimacy since that’s all he has lording over Tan. In which case, let boys be boys and duke it out with their fists and pretty faces. I quite enjoy a drama with minimal machinations (for now), where there is a lot of not getting along but scheming hasn’t arrived yet. Young Do rather does everything literally, from bullying to constantly looking for Tan and Eun Sang. It’s probably better that he doesn’t plot in the dark but instead arrives as an adversary in plain sight. At this point Tan has gone from hating Young Do as a former friend to loathing him for getting closer and closer with Eun Sang. His only comfort might be that Eun Sang looks at him like he’s a particularly repugnant rat dropping, whereas she looks at Tan like he’s a danger to her well being. I do wish the OTP chemistry was more explosive rather than simmering, because the tension between Eun Sang and Young Do is indeed combustible but its all negative energy masquerading as some sort of romantic subtext. I don’t actually think Young Do is a demon spawn, but so far Eun Sang has no reason to think otherwise and I wish he would learn some basic male-female interaction niceties before doing his clumsy pursuit of her. I can accept he’s inexplicably fallen for her (as well, since Tan has been there-done that) but it’s coming across as creepy and distasteful so far. Rachel and Bo Na have become less screechy in the last few episodes, and I actually respect Rachel’s attitude toward Tan and Eun Sang. She is in the right, insofar as Tan is still engaged to her and needs to respect that but he hasn’t. Either end the engagement before falling for another girl, or make it clear he plans to straddle both sides. This is where the whole “they are just 18 years old” lessens the tension in this drama, because no matter what they have years ahead of them to figure out their lives.

Written preview for episode 10:

Young Do sees Eun Sang at Kim Tan’s house and asks what their relationship is? Tan says they are dating. Eun Sang later asks Tan why he lied back there, but Tan instead asks that they really date. On the other hand, Rachel unilaterally asks to end her engagement to Tan……

  • I really wish this drama was going to be Asian version of gossip girl.. with 6 episode left, my hope has been shattered...gone to the drain

Yong Do character is interesting, the it is not written properly, such a waste for a talent like Kim Woo Bin. I dont want him to end up like Yoo Seung Ho in missing you

I am getting fed up with Won and Tan interaction, why they keep having the same conversation again and again..

    • i thought this drama is 20 episodes in total. but anyhow, 4 episodes won't make too much of difference unless the tortoise can run fast than the heir... ooops... hare... hahaha... blah blah blah... ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz

  • I enjoyed and still continue to look forward for tomorrow ep 10. Although I could be mother of these and hadn't been interested in any high school kid dramas, I'm glued to this drama for unexplained reasons. Umm... Perhaps, it reminded of high school time, rebellious time, first love, he followed you, walked behind you to protect you, hand holding, joking & chatting all night, and so on and etc...

    Anyways, thanks!

  • I'm enjoying this drama so far that's why I'm still watching.
I really wonder why all those that don't like it or even hate it are still watching!
I'm sure there're better things for you guys to do plus many other dramas to choose from.
It's quite annoying to come to a site hoping to read some nice comments about the drama becoz I thought if you're watching it, spending the time to write about it or to read it then you must like it or why waste your time. Just like what Ms Koala said in one of her previous post, if you don't like what she's writing then don't read it as it'll make you all upset. I think the same with this drama or any drama alike…if you don't like it, drop it, stop watching.
Honestly don't know what some people are thinking and doing these days.

  • cant wait to see Young Do's response!!!! i love his character, but i like Kim Tan too.. i dunno about the ending.. i wish YD and ES but kinda impossible since he's just the 2nd man.. :(

  • That look on Kim Tan's face as he grabs her from behind: is it supposed to be longing, lust, confusion, desperation? I would understand all of those, but unfortunately I am not getting any of them. His face is just blank. Frankly, I don't think PSH and LMH have anything together. So far, their "chemistry" consists of long stares and lots of stalkerism and grabbiness on his part. I get no expression from them when they look at each other except for a mild sadness. I know the press says they are "good friends" on-set but I wonder.

Even though he is a junior psychopath, I get more out of Young-do's expression - especially when he was dissed by PSH and realized that what he thought was flirting was bullying to her.

  • Personally, I think the biggest flaw in this drama isn't the writing, but the casting. Actors, no matter how good, need to work off each other to make it credible, and it just isn't happening here. This cast just has very little chemistry, with the exception of the second leads like Rachel, Bo Na, and Chan Young.
