Exciting Spoiler Stills for Upcoming Episode 9 of Bride of the Century

It’s safe to say Bride of the Century is well on its way to being the crackiest K-drama of 2014 so far, and it’s going to be interesting to see if any offerings for the rest of the year can deliver a commensurate level of hilarious plot absurdity mixed with stirring emotional connection. This drama is the best of crazy K-drama narrative that is fun to dissect but dig deeper and one finds an awesome OTP that just hits all my squee spots. The picture above is a news still from this week supposedly from a later episode where Yang Jin Sung is dressed in bridal wear. I’m guessing it’s as Doo Rim based on her hair, which is wavy as opposed to Yi Kyung’s flat helmet head. Even Lee Hong Ki mentioned that Doo Rim and Yi Kyung have different hairstyles which anyone with eyes can differentiate, but because it’s a K-drama that is why Kang Joo remains clueless as to the doppleganger switching. I’m not a fan of the flower crown hippie bride look paired with a frumpy textured collared wedding dress, but I suppose it probably suits Doo Rim’s personality to be more fresh and warm rather than squeezed into a flouncy expensive frock. I really don’t care what she wears as long as it’s Doo Rim and she gets to say her I dos as Doo Rim. Bonus points for her surviving the wedding night. LOL. I wonder if the two moms plus Yi Kyung and Roo Mi will all have a collective hernia if Doo Rim marries Kang Joo and their marriage doesn’t immediate end in death and mayhem for the bride. There are new spoiler stills captured by fans who happened across the drama filming and check it out at your own risk because it’s super spoilery.

The picture above is of Yi Kyung and Kang Joo taken outside a hospital. The pictures below are of Doo Rim and Kang Joo outside Doo Rim’s store. I guess her identity is out, and Kang Joo is not all that mad considering he’s kissing her brains out in the last picture below. I can’t wait to see that kiss up close and personal when the episode airs.

  4. so we’re finally getting the reveal this episode (or if not, 10 perhaps?) well, then YAASSSSSSSSS!! imo, it’s better if Kang Joo knows asap so we can have more cutesy couple moments.

    • There are conflicting reports as to the number of episodes. The drama was first announced as having 16 episodes, but I think on the TV Chosun site it is listed as having 20.

  7. If Doo Rim’s identity is revealed, how will the plot be able to last to 20 episodes? really interested to know how the writer can squeeze the juice hahaha!

  11. I don’t think he found out. Maybe he does find out she is a friend of JJ. I would love if the truth came out but this is Drama, even Makjang. Something so sensible wouldn’t happen :D.

    • Agree. Yu kyungs evil mom prob fibbed and said yikyung is the one who started the restaurant. Don’t think her id will be revealed so early as it’s a potential source of conflict and otp angst and separation. I am sure it will be milked for at least a few episodes:)

  18. Really looks like a secret wedding would happen. Doo Rim bouquet looks like they just pick out the flowers out of no where, not done by a florist. BotC surprised me a lot that’s why I like it a lot.. a lot of things had a imagine happen that a typical k dramas would not give it to me.. I dont usually post a comment and stay hidden..

  20. Favourite thing about this drama other than the super super squee worthy leads and their awesome chemistry? The plot moves so fast. No dragged out bits and angst that lasts for half the drama. LOVE IT.

  22. It’s funny how people in this drama would kill to be number 2. It started with a rumor, and now, just about everyone and their grandmothers believe it. This one has got enough intrigue and mystery to keep me vested in watching the drama all the way through. Tomorrow ockoala, I’m going to wake up and ask you if it’s Friday yet.

  34. Hmmm….. why do I find myself sceptical? Maybe it is just that it is coming to that point (middle of it) in K-drama land when all the angst usually starts to happen. I really hope they don’t go totally makjang like YK and her mother kidnapping the newly married DM and posing in her stead, locking her up, lost and missing babies etc. Unfortunately after “Once there was a romcom” I tend to get very weary half-way into a rom-com of K-dramaland.

  38. This kissing scene was not in episode 9 or 10…there were OTHER kissing scenes but not this one that we see in the picture.
