Bombshell HK-ent Dating News as High Profile Exes Faye Wong and Nicholas Tse Get Back Together
I don’t write about HK entertainers much since by and large I’ve stopped watching TVB and ATV HK-dramas. HK movies have also declined from the Golden Age in the late 80’s through the late 90’s in terms of creative and fun output. I still keep up to date on the latest on-dits in the HK entertainment scene and last month all anyone could talk about was the Beijing pot arrest of Jackie Chan‘s only son Jaycee Chan. That’s been generating headlining articles for weeks but now it’s been dethroned for the biggest HK dating news of this year (by far). Entertainment portal Sohu broke the exclusive news that HK superstar singer-actress Faye Wong has gotten back together with her ex-boyfriend and also fellow HK superstar singer-actor Nicholas Tse. For those unfamiliar with HK star news, Faye and Nic dated ten years ago at the height of their fame in a relationship that was as high profile as Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston when they dated and got married.
Faye and Nic only lasted two years before reportedly HK-starlet Cecilia Cheung came between them, though later Nic went on to marry Cecilia while Faye settled down with C-actor Li Ya Peng. Nic and Cecilia had two sons Lucas and Quintus before calling it quits on their 5 year marriage in 2011. Faye and Li Ya Peng lasted a bit longer but their marriage also ended in divorce last year. With both Nic and Faye single again, and Nic openly stating in a 2012 interview that of all his exes he loved Faye the most, everyone and their grandmothers have been wondering if these two now single exes would ever get back together. Now the question has been answered – an intrepid reporter from Sohu was waiting for Faye as she finished up work and saw Nic get in her black SUV and followed them back to her luxury condo in Beijing. The reporter then parked outside the building and filmed Faye and Nic for four days as the reunited couple stayed in the condo and spent quality time together, confirming once and for all the speculation in the last year that the exes may be rekindling their romance.
No one thought Faye and Li Ya Peng would last, but honestly Nic and Cecilia could and should have lasted but for the whole awful Edison Chen scandal in ’08.
The four days the reunited exes spent together involved Nic cooking dinner for Faye and plenty of canoodling plus one hot kiss caught on camera. I would say something about the horrible invasion of privacy to film through an open window, but for the fact that Nic and Faye couldn’t have not known they were followed back to the condo and also happened to keep their window open and blinds not drawn while hanging out in the very visible kitchen and living room. It’s like changing right in front of an open window in a hotel room. Me thinks the lovebirds are fine going public so for all those Faye-Nic shippers from way back when, go ahead and rejoice now!

What was edison chen scandal?
Basically Edison brought his computer to get fixed & on his computer there were different files of naked women & sex tapes for all the women he slept with. Half of the them were celebrities… All the photos & some tapes were leaked out online & being sold in different markets!
It effected a lot of the celebrities image since most of them have the innocent jade look! Gillian Chungs career practically went down the drain, Cecillia & Nic broke up, Bobo chan had her marriage halted. & others were effected too. Edison is known as a creep for taking all those. Not to mention he quit the industry as a way to take “responsibility” for his actions, only for him to return a year or two later!
If you ask me he’s the Chinese version of Lee Byung Hyun just his is more dirty in a way he records his sexual encounters.
Buy didn’t all the girls know they were being filmed/photographed? Sure it is exploitation but I firmly believe it was their fault to begin with. Technology & douche baggy dudes are 2 things you should never ever trust.
Did Cecilia cheat on Nic with Edison during their relationship or marriage? If it’s before, did Nic cannot accept Cecilia’s scandal? I’m not too sure about the details behind their divorce, but it seems like it’s more than just the Edison scandal? Pls shed more light on this
yup she was cheating on nic, so quintus’ (their eldest son) paternity was questioned at one point. I was surprised that they lasted as long as they did.

They had this on-off-on relationship before marriage, he was also dating Faye and 2-timming both of them until he was found out in the car-accident. In between, I think Cecilia dated Jordan Chan as well.

Why LBH is yes, slimey and into women … but he’s also wonderfully charismatic, tries to appear gentlemanly and comes across as intelligent. I don’t see him as someone Edison’s calibre – this one is just like a juvenile diliquent, without much brains too (the fact he had all those files and brought it to this stranger techie to fix *rolls eyes*)
Edison likes to be known as bad-ass.

Nic is really in the prime of his life. A succesful entrepreneur at such a young age with his company that has grown into one of the biggest post-production company in the Greater China region, creative director of a shoe brand, doing films and music that he likes, hosting a cooking show which he had always dreamt of. Personality wise, he has become so much more mature, modest and steady throughout the years. I could care less about it a few years ago, but I’ve really grown fond of Nic as a real man at this stage as compared to his wild and rebellious boyish days back in the past. I knew he would be taken very soon, but didn’t really expect this coming up.
It feels a bit awkward for the children from both sides for their mum and dad to get back to their ex of the relationship that took place right before their own parent, especially when this whole getting back together is cited as “true love”. But who am I to say anything.
I have been watching a lot of his recent interviews for his new film and he seems to be genuinely happy lately. I even thought it was because he had a crush on his co-star Gao Yuanyuan and just seemed happy to be with her. But guess we now know the real reason behind his frequent smiles.
Cecilia will be absolutely heart broken.

What made you think Faye and Li Yapeng wouldn’t make it. They were together for a long, long time even starting the wonderful charity to correct cleft lips together. I saw them more as a Brad Pitt/Angelina couple than her and Nic – they seemed to be doing good in the world and I am very sad her and Li Yapeng aren’t together anymore.
Me too! I thought Faye and Li Ya Peng seem pretty settled and domestic, and even rode through the cleft-palate ordeal of their 2nd daughter together.
In fact, I thought that made their marriage and understanding stronger, since they were united in being ambassadors for the cause and working together to support their daughter.
