Suzy in an Unexpected Pairing with Taiwanese Superstar Show Luo in Cute Coffee CF

Suzy is everywhere these days and now her presence is being felt down South in Taiwan with a brand new high profile ad campaign. Suzy is paired up with Taiwanese superstar singer-actor Show Luo for Coffee Maurina, a pairing that whacked me out of left field merely for the surprise factor and not that there is anything odd about it. Show is a fantastic entertainer with tons of star appeal, and his onstage persona is totally along the same veins as Suzy when she’s doing her idol side.

I would be more interested to see them do a fun silly duet onstage with lots of playacting and dancing than just a CF campaign. Suzy isn’t all that popular in Taiwan yet as much as other K-actresses who happen to have a K-drama that was super popular there in recent years, such as Ha Ji Won thanks to Empress Ki or Jeon Ji Hyun for You From Another Star. I’ll be curious to see how Arbitrarily Fond ends up getting received there, Taiwanese audiences don’t always like the same types of K-dramas as the other Asian countries.

  1. I do believe they did do a duet or at least she featured in one of the songs on his new album.

  2. Why are they (especially their hand) look so awkward in 2nd picture?
    Are these just still picture or video screen cap?

  7. These are stills from Shows’s new MV in which he is doing a duet with Suzy, and not a CF. Like I’m not even sure if “Coffee Maurina” exits, and you can see Suzy holding a Starbucks coffee cup. Maybe both companies paid to have their names/products in his MV but it’s definitely not a CF.
