The next evolution of K-actress Kim Hee Sun has been ongoing for the last decade and I feel like her next drama Tomorrow will combine various best elements. She’s fierce in Angry Mom, intellectual and single-minded in Alice, and together she’s all of the above as a grim reaper who likely became one through past life suffering. We’re seeing the first glimpse of said past life suffering in two new stills from Tomorrow, she’s in Joseon era garb and appears to be imprisoned. But her sadness and stoicism shines through in a very Count of Monte Cristo way and I can’t to watch her impart centuries of wisdom as the noona grim reaper to her squad of reaper flower boys.
