Posters and Teaser for KBS Quirky Investigation K-drama Cafe Minamdang Brings the Curious Chuckles

KBS drama Cafe Minamdang continues to surprise me with how fun their promos are. It’s both creative and charming, and if the drama itself turns out to be as good then that’s the way to do a quirky concept right. The new poster has the four leads Seo In Guk, Oh Yeon Seo, Kwak Si Yang, and Kang Mina arranged as a talisman seal the kind that gets burned before a religious incantation. I liked the poster so much it took me seconds later to notice Kwak Si Yang’s bowl haircut, and not merely a kinda bowl but an actual honest-to-goodness genuine bowl haircut. Such dedication to his craft haha, but it barely dents his good looks so kudos to him. The drama also released a new teaser that captures the bickering two sides as they head towards eventually collaborating on solving crimes.

Teaser for Cafe Minamdang:
Hoping mina and inguk’s sibling chemistry will get lots of attention. This is a new character for her, so excited for my baby!
I still think she’s perfect for a goong remake
It’s Seo In Guk, I am in. His last drama was disappointment, but no fault of his or the cast.
Main poster is very creative but I love the Netflix poster more. That one sticks closer to web novel cover with KSY drinking out of a red tea cup and Mina holding a wad of cash with a tiny bit of her tongue peeking out. The backdrop and SIG’s fan are far more colourful. OYS lurking behind them adds a comical feel.
I have a feeling KSY will be the scene stealer of this show. His myriad of expressions already had me curious. Hopefully it will launch him to a ML role in the future.
