Park Min Young Has Her Choice in Men in Upcoming tvN Drama Love in Contract

The contract dating/engagement/cohabition/marriage has been a major K-drama rom-com trope for a good two decades but this upcoming drama puts it directly as the center of a job. Park Min Young for Love in Contract (Korean title MonWedFriTuesThursSat) plays a contract marriage professional who gets paid by men to pretend date them so they can live their ideal lives. Her Mon/Wed/Fri goes to Go Kyung Pyo and her Tues/Thurs/Sat belongs to Kim Jae Young. tvN is joining the rom-coms for Sept as Love in Contract takes the Wed-Thurs time slot while The Love Cafe airs on Mon-Tues for KBS. Love by Law is from the PD of My Roommate is a Gumiho, 100 Days My Prince, and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, so a PD with a strong visual track record for delivering swoony moments.

  2. I think Koala has brain fog big time. The poster clearly says Love in Contract is a TVN TVING drama not KBS. KBS WED-THU timeslot is taken by Ji Chang Wook and Sooyoung If You Wished Upon Me, a hospice drama.

  3. I don’t think KBS is loading up on rom-coms in Sep. It’s filled with law dramas. Law Cafe on Mon-Tue after Cafe Minamdang finishes is a law based rom-com. After that will be old school hotel drama Curtain Call by HJW and KHN.

KBS Wed-Thu is occupied by IYWUM a melo drama. After that will be DO/Kyungsoo True Sword Battle another law drama.

PMY in another office type rom-com. Hope she challenges herself in different genre.

  4. From Park Seo Joon, Kim Jae Wook, Lee Min Ho, Seo Kang Joon, etc, and now Go Kyung Pyo and Kim Jae Young who has always been super gorgeous to me… Ugh, ISTG homegirl is so lucky šŸ˜

  5. Did she do something to her face again? She looks different from secretary kim days. And what’s with the scarily thin trend among kcelebs. It’s honestly worrying.

  6. Sad to see PMY in another rom-com. Have the offers for other genres dried up or it’s her choice to choose these kind of roles? Even Yoona has stepped up playing different roles and genres. PMY has so much potential but sadly her mid 30s is turning into a downward slide.

  7. Yeayyyy. Now I have a drama to watch after having five months drama slump. One thing for sure, their chemistry will be dabomm.

  8. PMY is a good actress but she definitely needs to do something out of her comfort zone. Even Song Hye Kyo who always does romance is branching out from it in her upcoming drama The Glory
