It’s rare in C-ent to have a drama get more attention for the director than the stars at the outset and that’s the track record to date for Director Yin Tao, who one after another keeps directing hits. Starring The Glory of the Tang Dynasty in 2017, he’s also directed Under the Power, Love and Redemption, Ancient Love Poetry, and the most recent drama being Who Rules the World. He is currently filming period drama Chang Feng Du (长风渡 Long Wind Passage) starring Bai Jing Ting and Song Yi adapted from a very well reviewed novel about a woman who grows stronger after marrying a rich wastrel and takes over the family business and even reforms her husband into becoming a good man. I love the concept poster above and the casting feels like a fresh pairing and I feel for Song Yi since her last drama was the hit Daybreaker which got pulled from streaming since the male lead was now disgraced actor Li Yi Feng.

But his last 2 dramas ALP and WRTW kinda flop though. The last one that explode was LaR. So he’s a hit and miss. I think it has a lot to do with his casting choice too.
Love both Song Yi and Bai Jingting, can’t wait for this drama. I hope this will be a breakthrough success for Song Yi, she absolutely deserves it
