So it appears K-ent is not ready for Kim Sun Ho to come back in a romance sageuk after the change in casting earlier this year, but his already filmed gritty K-movie will be a good test of whether Chungmuro is the right next step. The movie was originally called Sad Tropics but will be titled The Childe in English and is from the director Park Hoon Jung who helmed hits like I Saw the Devil, V.I.P., both The Witch movies (The Subversion and The Other One). The movie released the first teaser poster above and confirmed a release date for June 2023 so even though it feels arthouse it could get a solid box office showing since its coming out at the start of the summer season.
