It’s been a slower than usual summer season for K-movies, other than for the 3rd installment of The Roundup: No Way Out topping three weekends at the box office and Smugglers one weekend, it’s been Hollywood movies at the top. The next big name flick to try to lure audiences in will be Concrete Utopia, the disaster movie starring Lee Byung Hun, Park Seo Joon, and Park Bo Young opening this weekend. The movie held a star studded VIP premiere this week with the leads in attendance and many of their famous friends joining for support. There wasn’t anything fashion worthy to discuss but folks all dressed comfortably in that rich people cool way haha.
That god-awful makeup style that kcelebs and their makeup artists prefer never went well with stage lighting in like ever. Beautiful people but that makeup is super unflattering.
I have to agree! Some of the faces here look like pale, shapeless blobs, no matter how good the bone structure of the actor or actress is… and that’s because of the makeup!
Also, I’m sorry, but some of them look sweaty instead of dewy 😭
No hate, I like some of the actors and actresses here, just that the makeup really is bad 😭
Weird that I’m in awe of KDrama makeup which makes the actors look perfected while still looking natural, but their red carpet and events makeup is something else 😭

Is that Jung Ji So in black? I find her one of the prettiest of the late 90s-early 2000s gen young actresses, but I swear, her styling is next-level bad. I keep noticing it because it’s that bad, ugh. It’s either she’s wearing something that washes her the f*ck out or something that looks too severe for her coloring (like what she’s wearing here). I will never know what her stylist is thinking styling a beautiful girl like that 😐
