So while iQiyi‘s just dropped super duper xianxia C-drama Love You Seven Times is so not my cup of tea, I’m actually intrigued about Tencent‘s next traditional period C-drama The Legend of Zhuohua which has just been scheduled for August 19th. Starring Jing Tian and Feng Shao Feng, this drama isn’t as buzzy and visually and narratively looks like Destined and perhaps even Feng Shao Feng’s beloved hit The Story of Minglan. Check out the posters and trailer below and see if this interests you, I find Jing Tian always serviceable and Feng Shao Feng looks so much better here and more suited for this character and genre than the godawful eye bleach Shining Just for You.

I like the trailer! I loved the story of Minglan so my expectations are high!
Feng Shao Feng was actually pretty good in some of his older works. I rem being suprise by his chemistry with Ariel Lin and ofcourse with Zhao Li Ying. Jing Tian is actually quite good too depending on her character and story. Lets see what the initial reviews are.
Oooooh. And here I am still waiting on her drama with Xu Kai, lol. I loved Jingtian in Rattan and (although it lost track) the series City of Streamer. I definitely don't mind seeing her again.
I am not all that excited about Love You Seven Times either. I however liked Destined. I am not very familiar with the artists for Legend of Zhuohua but I am interested based on the trailer they released. I wouldn't have known about this if not for your article coming up on my Google feed. Apparently, there's not much promotion for this series yet.
