So Part 1 of Lost You Forever wrapped this week and was it a satisfying as all out drama adaptation of the novel for me. Not perfect and plenty of small detail changes here and there but it was faithful in narrative, tone, and pace. Originally Part 2 was scheduled to air during Lunar New Year 2024 so around January/February so six months from now but with the recent requirement changes the drama will likely air next summer 2024 making it a one year break. That sucks for momentum but since there is the source novel I highly suggest addicted fans just go read it so you can patiently wait for the drama version without gnawing at your knuckles wondering what happens story wise. I’m more concerned that Part 2 has the originally slated 35-episodes over a rumored slice and dice down to 21-episodes as that would absolutely butcher the second half narrative. All in all, LYF was my drama of this summer of ’23 the same way Love Like the Galaxy owned my heart and soul last summer in 2022.

Question: for part 2, is it a different story or continuation of part 1?
It’ll be a continuation as the drama was originally almost 70 episodes but had to be split into two so that they could air it due to China’s regulations.
This is upsetting. I am UPSET ):
It's my drama of the year so far although I wish it had better OST and CGI? It's rare that a novel is adapted properly and does justice to even the smaller characters but the casting for LYF was spot on and made me go back to read the book since roles I didn't like much were very likeable in the show e.g. Jing. Congrats to Koala because it must be so satisfying that 你房子没塌 aka a novel you like got a great adaptation. I too wish the novels i love will be adapted properly, the casting for LYF is terrific please do the same for my 房子
if someone can email to the production to improve the CGI and special effect, selecting new and better OST and smooth editing by postproduction for LYF S2. since they have time before S2 being broadcast. use it wise.
Everyone in this drama better have a clean record while we wait for the second season to air. Can you imagine them cancelling the second half if something was to happen!?
@ Neen
I was thinking about that also. Yes. We want to see LYF season #2 in peace. 🙏🙏🙏
Absolutely agree!
Everyone in the drama, just lay low and be nice ….. please please no cheating scandals, no sex scandals, no drugs, dont hook up with prostitutes, stay way from minors, don’t go to war memorials in Japan then post, dont wear or say anything pro-Taiwan pro-Japan pro-US, delete all incriminating photos from social media from the last 20 years and most importantly…pay your taxes!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. The collective PTSD from the last few years in C-ent.

😅😂🤣😃. I’m praying that they all will be well behaved, so we can watch season 2 smoothly. 🙏🙏🙏
What is the name of the book series and is it available in English translation?
Tyia
You can find it on Koala's own page. She was the one who did fan translations. https://koalasplayground.com/recapped-dramas/
Just scroll down to Chinese Novel Translations and you can find it easily.
I was so looking forward to Part 2 of the LYF drama. And I really think they shouldn’t edit to 21 episodes. The main actors (Male Leads TJC, ZWY, DW) and actresses (esp Yang Zi - I teared up in some of her scenes) really put in a solid performance. They deserve the 35 episodes. It’s my first time watching these male actors but they really brought the novel to life. I think for Part 1 ZWY really made Cang Xuan a memorable character - driven by responsibility yet tortured. DW is good-looking but Tu Shan Jing is too passive and weepy in Part 1. Wish he can be smarter to deal with his brother and fiancée. I do like the sweet scenes between XY and TSJ though. XL/ FBB also has to show a lot of restraint in his interactions with XY. Prefer his FBB role as he shows more life and emotion… in other words, why must we wait another year to see Part 2! Breaks the momentum and love for the drama.
Best drama and what an clarity n cinematography. I was bound to write this. Please air it asap.. Everyone in the story is just marvelous esp. the character Tusan Jing...
Hope to release soon to not wait us for so long that can affect the charm of the show.
This is really annoying lol how could this be why 21 ep not 35??? I lost my intrest.... Seriously
Not alot of people seem to like Can Xuan but I actually like him alot in here. I find the actor charastimatic. I also like XL too but I like him more for his looks. He's very handsome. As for Jing, I don't find him handsome but I find his character so sweet and adorable.
Pleaseeee everyone in the drama, pleaseeee, dont do anything you'll regret. Dont get cancel.
Nowadays, i become Tan Jianci's fan, lol. He can act, sing and dance. And also funny in variety show.
I also really like Yangzi. She looked really really pretty in variety shows, but why she looked 'ordinary' in dramas. Those dramas didnt do her justice.
Aiyooo, this one is one of my faves c adaptations. Besides NIF anf LLTG, ah also Shining for one thing.
Please comeback soon LYF s2.
I feel in love with Tan Jian Ci. He is the best actor amongst the three. ZWY was also great here! Deng Wei improved so much he did good here! Good job to everyone! I can't wait for the rest!
