College Age Romance C-drama Everyone Loves Me with Zhou Ye and Lin Yi Drops Preview and Posters with Rumored Premiere

So this is one of those cheaper to produce but could be a small hit C-dramas that are so prolific in C-ent. The reportedly soon to air college age romance C-drama Everyone Loves Me starring Lin Yi and Zhou Ye is adapted from the same name novel but honestly from the story line and previews borrows so many elements from other similar C-dramas. There is gaming buddies and real life crushes not to mention Zhou Ye looking like she wandered from the set of Love Me, Love My Voice to film this drama at the exact same time. The drama will stream on Youku and if it airs now will continue Zhou Ye’s streak if having a drama airing every few months since she broke out with Word of Honor and Lin Yi is also coming up a well received recent drama with Derailment.

  1. This is the Love O2O (which was *gasp* almost 8 years ago already T__T) redux for the current generation. Ah.. to be young and in your 20s~ >0< I hope Netflix gets this coz Youku is not available in my region. =/

  3. I hope this is more similar to Love O2O more than Love Me, Love My Voice (the latter was beautiful but really had nothing going on). Also, Youku already dropped the air date so its not rumored anymore.

  4. I couldn’t watch Love O2O, something about the plot and acting felt very contrived and amateurish.

I did watch Esther in Moonlight which has a similar premise of two people falling in love with each other online, but not knowing their actual identity. I liked it, but couldn’t finish due to Ryan Ding’s exceptional personality flaws in the drama.

This one with Zhou Ye sounds cute, just hoping the plot doesn’t disappoint. Also, that the ML isn’t a dbag.

Last year’s good C-dramas were far and few in between. I seriously think the gov’t’s requirements about diminishing the appeal of dramas is detrimental to the industry. But it’s not until the bottom line is affected, that the govt might budge.

As of now, if I want good plots, I have to resort to reading novels or watching donghuas.

    • I agree this year has really been luckster so far compared to last year by these time. I really fell their censorship limit them in plot creativity imo.oh well

  5. So many cdramas but none good enough to get me hooked. Come on, China ! ..I need to learn mandarin. Shorten the dramas and hire good editors and Korean directors?!

    • Cdramas has been so lackluster that I came back to kdrama again. Some romcom coming out seems hopeful. Currently watching branding in seongsu and wedding impossible. Still hard to know whether it’s going to be good tho for the latter
