• They're not playing a couple. Their characters are non-blood siblings, friends, work colleagues and comrades in battle. Anything except a couple.
  I suggest read and watch all the available material of TODR which is loads of stuff.
  I must say they look like the characters came out of the animation. The styling, makeup and wardrobe teams did great job.
  I'm not worried about the acting at all. The most important things is to be the character and interpret the character very well.
  I'm sure they both can do it.
  I'm so much more worried about the script, direction, edition and visual effects. These things destroy dramas. People stupidly just bash the actors while ignoring the people really messed up badly a drama.
  I hope the drama won't disappoing me.

  • Gong Jun can't act.

    You can twist yourself into a pretzel, then do it again ten times over and over, until you reach infinity and he still won't be able to act.

    Gong Jun stans need to learn to deal. It's a simple fact that is pretty much unanimously accepted by everyone in cent who isn't a GJ stan.

    • It's too crazy of you to assume that I'm a fan of GJ just because I think he have a chance to do well in here. I'm not a fan of any actor. If GJ performs well enough that's great and if he doesn't the rest of the drama can make up for it somehow. I'm a fan of TODR and I feel very hopeful due to all the leaks coming out all the time. Nothing makes me worry about the acting so far. I can tolerate changes when they're according to my likes. I just hope people stop stupidly only bash actors instead of scriptwriters, directors, editors and the team behind visual effects when a drama fails due to these people. I'm bold to assume you do only bash actors and do not have the guts to go after the people behind the cameras who ruin dramas.

      Damn. Stop assuming things about me just because you got a sudden hate towards me and stop reading things I certainly did not write.
      I can safely say you're a fan of a competitor actor or actors of GJ so the hate for the man comes from your sickly ill passion towards another actor or actors who are competing with GJ besides being a Chinese actor's fan makes you mentally ill for sure. You being a fan of anybody is an alarm telling you need medical help because you're already showing signs of illness.

    • have no idea where is this Gong Jun can't act come from? Why does he has alot of haters? who can't admit he is such a talent actor. The most talent actor can act badly due to bad script, or there is alot of factor outside production, like fatigue can break actor performances too.

      I just watch him this years and don't know him before this years, and he is such amazing versatile actor.

• I forgot to say that people here do not know or do not care to know but I'll say it anyways. This pic was taken by a daipai (paparazzi) during one of the rehearsals of a scene so it means it's not a serious picture representing the drama, the scene, the characters and the actors.

    • Yup! Over-dramatic and extravagant. They should invest more money in writers' salaries instead of settings and costumes. After they built a reputation of good plots and interesting contents, then they can invest more on settings and costumes to enhance the qualities. Now they have wrong priority of where money should go.

    • @Somebody, You know, I am unsure if it is scriptwriters issues. You and I know there are good writers in China but even with the best script, after the edits and chopping... a good script can still turn out bad... It is really as you mentioned previously, the new regulations are really restricting real talents, writing and craftsmanship. As for costumes...I dont know what goes on in those creator's mind.

      CCP just want to control everyone. This is one GOV that dont want people to think too much out of the Box...

    • @HL, new regulation? You reminded me of those C dramas that I actually liked a lot. Yeah! They are all old dramas.

• Lately so many C costume dramas has such gorgeous and magical outfits(head pieces and accs)BUT their script sucks big time... I can only hope writer & script is taken care of as well as those costumes.

  • Good writing or production doesn't always translate to good rating and buzz.. public taste at times unpredictable.
