tvN Rom-com Drama My Dear Nemesis with Moon Ga Young and Choi Hyun Wook Release Script Reading Stills as it Commences Filming
It’s not been a good start to 2025 for K-dramas, with the first big release When the Stars Gossip on tvN already on track to be a disappointment. There are looooong ways to go of course but with K-drama production volume down it’s been harder for me to have as many dramas to look forward as in prior years. One that I’m solidly stoked for is My Dear Nemisis (Korean title hat Man Is Black Salt Dragon), adapted from a webtoon and starring a solid four-some of leads. Moon Ga Young and Choi Hyun Wook pair up for this rom-com about two former teen gamer in-game competitors who years later end up as work colleagues in the adult real world. Joining then as second leads are Im Se Mi and Kwak Si Yang, both of whom I swear are perennial second leads that always deliver. The drama is from the PD of Find Me in Your Memory and Sh**ting Stars and is slated to premiere in February so next month.
I’m more interested in the 2nd leads. Hoping they get their own mini-romance and plenty of screen time as well.
Just look at their shiny and smooth faces…. I really should go to SK to get facial treatment…
CHW is a good actor but he’s still too young to play a role of director… MGY was so good in The Interest of Love with YYS.
I like the second pairing!
At last, someone saying that She was good in The interest of Love . YYS ace this kind of roles too . I do like this drama that wasn’t well understood by viewers . I loved the debut of the When the phone rings but after it went off in all directions which was sad because YYS did a great job and Chae Soo Bin may have a hard time to learn the sign language .
I love every moment of When the Phone Rings. The story never was the strong point of this drama (after all the FL was kidnapped 3 times in one month…) so I watched with the same entertainment the last 2 episodes. The couple was the main point and the intensity of YYS.
That’s what i felt, the couple was the key , the web novel also has flaws but it’s a fiction and that’s why i watch dramas, to entertain me . YYS has chemistry with all his co stars and he put in this role the needed intensity . I don’t know how he is as a person but i always love his acting . I watched Warm and cozy only for him !
WTPR pulled me out of a very long kdrama slump. So happy for YYS gaining more international recognition now. He practically carried whole drama along with CSB complementing his intensity in some levels. People who cast them together in this drama deserved a raise. Bravo to director and production crew who filmed this beautifully and memorable osts. Really stoked underrated actors like them finally get wider recognition. Personally for me, this kind of chemi only comes once every 5 to 10 years. I also watched Warm and Cozy for YYS sake. From that drama to WTPR, he has grown leaps and bounds.Awaiting their next projects with anticipation.
@Sayaris Same! Personally I think Choi Hyun-wook looks boyish to be playing characters in their thirties. But I can’t blame him when most drama protagonists are either teenagers or in their thirties.
PD of Shooting Stars? That’s interesting. I enjoyed SS tremendously but mainly because of the sizzling chemistry between Kim Young Dae and Lee Sung Kyung. Knowing nothing about the main leads, I’m open to this drama. If there haven’t had many productions in Kdrama recently, that’s because SK’s economy is in trouble. Why and how? I don’t want to digress into politics lest some lackeys start fights again. LOL.
No chemistry at all
