OMG I never even paired these two up in any fantasy casting and I can’t believe it didn’t cross my mind because hearing this real casting made me yelp out loud in excitement. Moon Ga Young and Choi Hyun Wook are confirmed for the workplace and romance K-drama The Man is Black Salt Dragon. It tells of two former gaming fanatics who 16 years later reunite in the same company and find each other trying to avoid talk of their past while still clicking in the present. Choi Hyun Wook is the former gambling wastrel turned hardworking department store chaebol heir and Moon Ga Young is the fast rising department store manager who crosses paths with her former gaming nemesis. I love both actors who are not just really good looking but also really really good at acting, it’s a total win-win combo and even more winning to be paired up together. The drama is adapted from a webtoon and will be directed by the PD of Delightfully Deceitful and Find Me in Your Memory.

There are plenty of good (and bad) K-dramas that slip through my cracks, even ones I intend to watch. It’s a thing called real life other stuff and timing, and sometimes I’m glad I avoided a hot mess. This weekend … Continue reading
