Medical K-drama The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call with Joo Ji Hoon is a Surprise Hit Landing on #3 of the Netflix Global Non-English Shows List One Week After Release

K-actor Joo Ji Hoon went on a tear in 2024 with three released K-dramas in Blood Free and Light Shop both on Disney+, and Love Your Enemy which aired on tvN. He’s continuing his drama stream to start 2025 with the release of The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call exclusively on Netflix. It’s actually called Season 1 so I know what’s getting a Season 2 most likely lol, as this drama has been released and is being heralded as a much needed hit. The reviews from domestic K-viewers is very strong and positive and the viewership is also very promising, with the drama landing in the #3 spot of the Netflix global non-English shows list within a week. This is also good for the medical genre K-drama which has been persona non-grata in South Korea after the doctor’s strike earlier last year, which led to high profile Resident Playbook getting delayed from airing. If K-netizens are enjoy medical dramas again then I expect more to be produced and RP to likely airing in the first half of this year.
