Autumn Arrives in Third Week of Netflix K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines as Kim Sun Ho’s Reportedly Guest Appearance is Revealed to be the Daughter’s Husband
Oh this is so going to get K-netizens goat up lol, but a bit of controversy of this nature is fine. Two weeks in Netflix K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines continues to rack up views, accolades, and online buzz for a generational story anchored by IU and Park Bo Gum as Jeju countryside kids turned married young adults trying to make their way through the harsh and happy of ordinary life. It was already revealed months ago that K-actor Kim Sun Ho would make an appearance in the drama and with the release of the third week’s season poster set in Autumn showing the adult lead parents with their daughter (also played by IU) facing a bowing young man, it’s been announced that Kim Sun Ho would be playing the daughter’s husband. So the husband will not be the soldier boyfriend played by Lee Jun Young in this past week’s episodes and the development makes sense for a story not about fairytale endings but about the sweet and sour aspects of life’s twists and turns. K-netizens are mostly unhappy that Kim Sun Ho, now tarnished from his former Good Boy image but has slowly rebuilt his acting career through indie movies, will be in this highly praised drama.
Well isn’t it because he is connected well with Netflix. Just roll with it I guess. Men slide by all the time in korea no matter the scandal…
Nooooooo I liked Lee Junyoung for her! This drama is so good but so emotionally exhausting
Yeah it makes me cry everytime, my fav is that bus scene with gwangsik looking at geummyeong as his forever little girl. I love junyoung too, his role is bringing the comedic elements I need in this drama
The twitter is on fire between his fans and the lead bogum fans loll
Actually no, they’re fighting against everyone, bogum fans, junyoung fans, even suzy fans. How suzy fans got into this war I don’t know but it’s hilarious to see
Waiting for all 4 seasons before watching, but just want to say I really like this poster. Feels so nostalgic and warm. I thought KSH was exonerated? Maybe he can’t be the virginal ML type *eyeroll*, but a supporting role should be okay?
Yeah, thank God she didn’t marry lee jun yong character.
It wasn’t a scandal in the first place. They were 2 adults who took a decision together.
This drama is going too fast for me.
When i watch this drama i get so emotional, i dropped perhaps i’ll return to it during summertime . I read that some Knetizens stated that Iviewers can’t relate to the story the same way as koreans, i do disagree , when i listen the stories of elders , i portray and feel all that this drama convey .
For some international viewers, the backdrops may appear distant. To me, the stories and the narratives are intriguing cuz they were so brilliantly executed. I knew nothing about the Korean era back then. I even started to read a bit online about the SK history back then. This is one example that good films are pieces of good art to record human history.
Besides My Liberation Notes, WLGT is another Kdrama that will definitely considered a classic for generations to come. These two dramas aren’t in my fave genres but I love them. That’s how good they are.
So, PBG only showed up in the first season. WLGT is female centric. The burden is on IU. That’s fine even I wish to watch PBG more in the drama. Not a fan of KSH but he is solid per Hometown Cha Cha Cha, the only one of his dramas that I watched.
