Kim Yoo Jung and Jinyoung Lead Strong Cast of Veterans in Upcoming tvN Period Espionage and Romance K-drama 100 Days of Lies — 39 Comments

  1. This sounds interesting. I’m looking forward to KYJ’s projects now since I’ve seen her in Dear X, she was excellent there!
This looks like it will be good, and while I always like dramas set in that time period, I’m also preparing myself for heartbreak as dramas like that tend to have a sad ending

  2. The synopsis doesn’t interest me. K period drama of this particular era is one of the genres I like less. Extraordinary Attorney Woo did well 95% thanks to Park Eun-bin’s extraordinary acting. lol. I also watched Do You Like Brahms, again to check out PEB’s past drama. DYLB is a nice melo but somehow forgettable except that PEB’s ability to pick up violin skills and her impressive acting as a pro violinist serve a stark contrast to C actress Yang Zi’s incompetence and unprofessional acting as a pro celloist in the Oath of Love. No wonder my fav dropped OoL from the list of his works in his Weibo account in no time the minute he went solo free from his prior agency. LOL. He also knows pretty well OoL isn’t worth a mention on his resume. lol.

Per my opinions above, I do not have extraordinarily high expectation over the PD and the Writer just because they had done decent works in the past.

Nice to see KYJ continue to pick diverse projects to expand her acting range. I honestly don’t think she’s a born acting talent compared with some of her peers. For the roles out of her character, she tried too hard to make it convincing. But I applaud her hard work that should pay sooner or later. I’m the one believing goal is accomplished mainly through effective planning and diligence, not boasting of talents and intelligence. As to Jinyoung, I have a soft spot for JYP’s artists since the boss is considered a nicer one among all the idol management in SK. It’s been known in the Kpop fandoms that JYP treats his idols well. JYP has also been consistently training Kpop groups that have made impressive marks in the Kpop industry, from earlier 2PM to the latest Stray Kids. That being said, I do have some qualms about their power to forcefully promote their idols in Kdrama. Surely some of the idols such as Junho and Suzy eventually proved themselves successful through years of experience and diligence, no doubt. But in many dramas and roles that JYP’s idles took, there could have been better actors to fill in the positions. Anyhow, Jinyoung’s acting in general is serviceable to me. Maybe, maybe, he can be Junho 2.0 someday that his acting style would be more recognizable. Who knows!

    • To be a woman in 30s, you write like a deluded teenager. Hahaha. You also have children, Is it hard for Asians to act their age and stop worshipping pen*s/v*ginas?🤣😂

    • Xiao Zhan raved about OoL, before and after its premiere. Either it was a publicity stunt to promote the crappy drama in which he himself decided to participate or he is simply a hypocrite. Hahaha. He was very enthusiastic. There are others who have had more courage to be critical about scrips but he wouldn’t have the courage to do that. It’s comical because apart from OoL he has several other sub-par projects as well but at least, he can act. Yang Zi is a hopeless case lol.

      • @Faye This Somebody is an American Trumpie, you think such a person would genuinely like Xiao Zhan, a Chinese actor who loves his country? Nah she’s just using the pretext of being a fan of the most popular Chinese actor to drag C-ent. No genuine fan would keep announcing “XXX is my fav” and then proceed to criticise other celebrities.

      • LOL. I’m not a MAGA. Chinese angry birds should stop bitching and venting on irrelevant netizens because your national arrogance has been pulverized by Trump’s unpredictable foreign strategies. lol.

      • SOMEBODY:

Hahaha. I don’t see a difference between what you criticize and what you do on this site. You also act like a rabid beast and proceed to bring up irrelevant topics just to be self-indulgent with your fragile. The worst part is that you’re a grown woman, PUSHING 40. Lmao.

“Chinese angry birds”. Hahaha. I’m not Chinese, I’m Caucasian. But your strong projection makes it clear to me that you have certain traumas or resentments towards the Chinese. Lololol. It’s funny because your fave is a Chinese actor who may share the same opinions and visions that bother you and make you do mental gymnastics. Haha! Xiao Zhan is even going to play a CCP spy in an upcoming drama.

You should go back to your hellhole called Taiwan, you will never be a true American no matter how much you want to, you are a banana.

So, you have a life off the internet but you insist on rechecking comments and responding when you think others have already forgotten about it? Cowardly. Hahaha.

    • @Somebody, it’s clearly the same troll who was usurping your nickname in the article about Wang Xing Yue and Deng Enxi. LOL. The writing style is similar.

      • These pests are delirious and deranged. Who would troll around bickering with strangers online over nothing? Except for bozos like these delusional and rabid followers of certain entertainers. lol. Seriously, their behavior convinces me they are mentally ill. I just swatted them away like flies. They can never bother me at all. Life goes on offline. lol

      • Hey yo thanks. I almost forgot that blog even existed. lol. You refreshed my memory to check out that blog again. Indeed, I missed quite a bit of live circus from those drama maniacs. lol.

      • @Somebody.

You’re welcome. I didn’t remember either, but I happened to glance at the “Latest Comments” column and saw that someone had used “Shayeli is vile” as their username. The rest will just become part of my memories of whingeing fans throwing tantrums. LOL.

By the way, I see we’re also on the same page when it comes to Park Eun Bin. I’m looking forward to the premiere of The WONDERfools, but I’m disappointed to see it’s only going to have eight episodes. The lady is a powerhouse actress and whenever I can, I like to explore more about her.

Your comment about Yang Zi struck a chord with me too, as she’s a bit of a hit-or-miss for me. I haven’t seen anything from her since Flourished Peony, but she did a good job. It’s been quite a while since she made a good impression in Go Go Squid!

      • Also this @Samantha & Rachel (lol I can’t help but being reminded of the joke in Business Proposal) is a fake Caucasian !!!! Many C netizens have no shame about lying online. These trolls have a fetish to use English names for their online identities to aggressively attack those who criticize the CCP regime. They thought it was a smart way to justify their pugnacious offense to people critical of China under CCP since it’s coming from a Westerner. But their schemes are so easily recognizable and too asinine to miss. lol.

@Samantha & Rachel is laughable. I believe she’s been seething all the time seeing me keep goofing around here untouched. lol

For that spy drama of Xiao Zhan, I confess I have no desire to watch it. I also missed his propaganda movie against the Japanese. lol . Only fools worship an actor, following all his activities including crappy works without scrutiny.

      • @SOMEBODY. It’s super fun to see how you want to fool yourself, maybe it’s because as a lower Asian, you’re used to pretending to be white? HAHAHA! Your whining is unnecessary considering that I have also had discussions with CCP-aligned users like Lilith or Lilie. Your snot isn’t going to change the fact that you’re an unstable Taiwanese worshiping Chinese penises while criticizing the Chinese. Hahaha!🤣

      • @SOMEBODY.

Were you so desperate and worked up that you came back to check if your comment hadn’t shown up yet so you could post another one? Hahahaha!

    • must xiao zhan fans always find ways to talk bad about yang zi? It’s an obsession at this point that needs to be cured. Him removing oath of love from his list of works on his weibo account has suddenly turned to an avenue to mock shows how shallow and low class you guys are

      • I equally critique my favs’ dramas, regardless whether I appreciate them in other dramas or not. This is called critical thinking that fans like you are apparently not able to do. lol

I praised YZ in other dramas and in other aspects, such as Ashes in Love, Go Go Squid, and Flourished Peony. I also appreciated her chemistry with XZ in OoL. But that doesn’t mean I’m blind to her weakness and the moments when she’s not up to par.

        Ignoramus! @Alonee

      • @somebody I have been ok this site long enough and have seen your comments on her to know that you clearly have a strong dislike for her and you love talking about it and her even in discussions that are not related to her in any way. Do not hide your hate under critical thinking because we all see it for what it is.
No one is saying she is the best actress in the world, but if your whole personality is built on spewing hate every second you get then I hate to break it it you but you need therapy and maybe touch some grass while you are at it.

      • This @SOMEBODY has no life beyond glorifying a Chinese man while holding resentments towards the Chinese. LMFAO. This contradictory brain of her and many Taiwanese I know is a clown stage. It reminds me of incels and redpillers, who say they want to be appreciated and loved by a woman while despising and criticizing them. Hahaha. Lmao. See? You’re never going to have our american values, no matter how hard you try to put a facade on top. We DO know how to separate entertainment from politics, unlike you who at any possible opportunity, go out with your deranged show just because your taiwanese national ego is indeed wounded. Hahaha. Not different from the chinese “national arrogance” you can’t tolerate.😂😂😂

      • LOL @Samantha, I’m rewatching a very entertaining K show, Business Proposal. Your name popped up: Samantha and Rachel !!!!! LMAO. Ok never mind! Just a joke.

The way you expressed does show a lot of resemblance to C trolls’ obnoxious patterns online. You can’t bitching about me taking you for a Chinese national! lol. Perhaps you are indeed a Chinese bot but faking to be Caucasian. Who knows! I know Chinese trolls have been doing this trick a lot – faking Westerners – just to engage in frivolous cyberwar. Such a low ego the size of a pea. lmao. Americans nowadays don’t do stupid things to defend anything Chinese unless they are bought by CCP. Perhaps you are one of these stooges. lol

      • @SOMEBODy: Hahahaha! I couldn’t help laughing out loud, I was trying to contain myself but I laugh at the people in their 30s who set up circuses. Hahaha! The funniest thing here is that I have defended neither the Chinese nor the CCP in any of my lines, I was just making fun of you by comparing your behavior to the Chinese trolls I have encountered on the internet. You and they are similar, do you hate your reflection? Hahaha! The inferiority complex is quickly noticeable, at the mere mention of Taiwan you start whining, and you even blurt out irrelevant details such as a drowning kick. Hahaha. People from your country here in the USA always imitate us, wanting to look white, even if it’s inside hahahaha. That’s why they’re always bananas.😂😂😂

      • @SOMEBODY. Of course my name is false. I won’t use my real name on an internet site.😂? You can be “Somebody”, but I can’t use a name used enough in my homeland? Hahaha.

      • @Samantha & Rachel, lol. Stop acting demented that you’re not Chinese! YOU ARE! It’s so obvious per your unhinged mental gymnastics that got triggered wild and high while you are mentally too wimpy to confront with your true Chinese identity. I’ve seen tons of Chinese trolls showing self-inflicted mental disfunction like this. lol. Only CCP lackeys have ever been triggered so much by anything or any person connected with Taiwan cuz other than going on a lunatic rampage on social media to bitch, there’s absolutely nothing you can do about Taiwan and me. lmao. Keep fooling yourself on drug bitching and ranting if that makes your pulverized pea-sized ego slightly better. lol

I don’t mind if you insist on entertaining me with farcical drama coming from your delusion. You are so extra. lol

      • Oops! My comment doesn’t appear.

The hints from the writing style of unhinged Samantha & Rachel lol screams out loud: Samantha the CCP lapdog is Chinese who’s been triggered by Trump’s bombing spree of CCP’s client states. She is having a meltdown. lol.

Except for illegal residents (such as Chinese student spies lol) and illiterate rednecks, residents in the US would not liter social media with so much politically incorrect gibberish such as name calling Asian Americans “bananas.” “Bananas” is a derogatory term oftentimes used within Asian communities only, specifically favored by CCP cyber-trash to attack Chinese expats. CCP scum Samantha & Rachel thinks she can fool people by pretending to be White they are always so desperate to diss? LOL. This swine is blowing a basket but fails. lmao.

      • @SOMEBODY.

OH MY GOD. My stomach hurts from laughing so much thanks for the circus you’ve put on. You’ve written quite a bit, which means you’re already getting winded HAHAHA. In your head you can keep picturing me as Chinese or whatever you want, the laughs will be guaranteed from my side no matter what. Hahaha!

You’re almost forty, but you act like a rage-filled animal. LOL.

Awwww you’re so entertained that you’ve spent all this time desperately trying to prove your worth as an Asian-American. Hahaha! It’s obvious that it would hurt you if a white person told you how inferior you are, banana. There are white supremacist forums that specifically target Asians, so you shouldn’t be surprised. Unless you want to live in a bubble where you’re just like us, hahaha. Don’t kid yourself, no matter what nationality you claim, you’re still a rat from that hellhole called Taiwan. Loool!

You can go ahead and vent all your whining about China and the CCP because, at the end of the day, it has nothing to do with me but it does have everything to do with you, since it’s left you traumatized, resentful, and distressed. HAHAHAHA! You’re going to keep whining and sweating anyway, BA-NA-NA.

      • @SOMEBODY.

        Hahahahahaha!🤣🤣🤣

It’s been the top of the comedy that you’re not realizing that I’m the same user who stole your identity. Hahaha. Your v*gina is so hurt by the Chinese (although you praise some cocks over there hahaha) and the CCP, that you haven’t noticed that my icons are the same. Hahaha. I also made racist attacks on @Shayeli who is Japanese in other posts but she was much smarter than you and just ignored me. Hahahahaha. You couldn’t do it because what I wrote hurt your soul, surely you were foaming at the mouth even I’m a troll. Oh old woman, at almost 40 you should take care of your blood pressure. You don’t want your Taiwanese child bastard to be left alone in the world and be the object of contempt given his status as an lower Asian, a mini banana. Hahahaha. No white man wanted your dirty Taiwanese tail. That’s why you are butthurt because our blood is pure, white + banana? 🤮

Looool! Your weak point is your filthy origin because at the end of the day, you’re never going to be a TRUE American. You’re just a wannabe. Hahaha!

Let’s go. Keep writing, ugly old lower Asian.

      • @Samantha & Rachel, Nah! You’re Chinese national, no doubt! LOL. Keep hyping your mental gym! Don’t forget to take pills though! lol

  3. LOL @ all these deranged buffoons! Now I don’t even bother to read one single line of their bitching gibberish after Samantha & Rachel (LMAO) unwittingly exposed her true identity as a CCP stooge by calling Asians living in the West “Banana.” LOL. Everyone except for Chinese illiterates and stooges of European descent bought by RMB knows “banana” is a derogatory term ONLY popular inside the communities of Chinese nationals for CCP’s propaganda. So daft to insist on faking White in order to attack whoever criticizes their mafia boss CCP. These CCP buffoons are experiencing idiocy and mental illness overload! LMAO.

BTW, Koala is reaping benefits from the traffic created by their drivel. Congrats Koala! lol

    • Awwww, how touching your resolution is.

HAHAHAHA! You poor soul, the way you deceive yourself is F-U-N-N-Y. LOOOL! You keep harping on about China, CCP (even though you glorify penises from that nation LOL), and bananas. Hahahaha! All because you don’t want to, or can’t, admit you fell hard for my bait. I’ve been trolling you the whole time. What makes you think I wouldn’t use terms that could set your mind racing and make your veins bulge? HAHAHAHA! That’s why you don’t want to read anything I wrote, because you don’t want your bubble burst, the one where you think you’re right. LFMAO. You also seem to have trouble accepting that there are white people who despise Asians like you. LOL. It’s not like white supremacists don’t exist. They also use the term banana, and I’ve borrowed it. HAHAHA.

You’re as stupid as a beast with an ID. Lolololol! But you can keep insulting the Chinese and their government. In the end, they have nothing to do with me (even if you want to keep fooling yourself projecting your fears and pathetic experiences onto me, HAHAHA!) but they do have A LOT to do with you. They’re closer to you, and that’s why you can’t get over them. Hahaha! I’ll keep living my American life with my European genes. I’ll keep laughing at you and your highly unstable mindset. And of course, I’ll keep helping with traffic. It was sooooo easy to troll you even though you’re pushing 40.

    • The number of comments on the post caught my attention. There weren’t even 15 the last time I stopped by. Whoever is behind the troll accounts isn’t Chinese. About two months ago, Samantha (yep, she used the same username) thought I was from China because I wrote that I can read Mandarin. Lol. She brutally attacked the Asian giant and its people, using a string of racist terms in an attempt to anger me, paragraph by paragraph. I did not respond to her and simply sent an email to the admin pointing out the issue. Her comments were deleted in a timely manner. Only God knows what goes on in the minds of folks like her, there are plenty of doors in life, and none of them lead her to a mental institution. LOL.

      • Thanks Shayeli. A lot of these trolls are Chinese nationals, but mentally sick ones. Not to insult the country as a whole, but I’ve seen the same trolling patterns on Chinese social media EVERYWHERE from Weibo to TikTok to Xiaohongshu etc. again and over again. A lot of them have become lunatic even psychotic. Even many rational Chinese people admit that the culture is full of belligerence and malice (戾氣). I attribute the rampant phenomenon to the CCP regime that censors speech and highly controls its citizens’ personal lives while promoting hostility and aggressiveness towards Western culture and democracy. Respect is not a word to be found in their own dictionary. It would not surprise me if these maniacs put their own country and people in a negative light just to rant against you. I’ve seen plenty of similar cases on Chinese social media except that the language was written in Chinese. They are mentally ill anyway.

I hope you don’t get offended if you’re Chinese. I’m not against Chinese since my in-laws are Chinese themselves. But I don’t hesitate to expose CCP’s negative influence.

  4. This design is steller! You most certainly know how to keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Great job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!

  5. Greetings! This is my first visit to your blog! We are a collection of volunteers and starting a new initiative in a community in the same niche. Your blog provided us valuable information to work on. You have done a marvellous job!
