Zhao Lu Si Releases New Single Titled Stop Pretending that C-netizens Believe is Shading Rival Yu Shu Xin
The petty is high on this one but its the sort of entertainment industry beef that makes for great publicity for both sides. C-actress Zhao Lu Si has been doing a side gig in singing as well the last few years and this week she released a new single titled “Stop Pretending”. Immediately C-netizens surmised that it’s a diss track shading her drama rival Yu Shu Xin, who has a reputation of purposely using a cute girl nasally voice as well as acting ditzy intentionally to seem helpless. If this is true then it’s pretty clever and harmlessly bitchy and I kinda love it, especially if it leads to Yu Shu Xin releasing her own diss track shading Zhao Lu Si next. In this day and age, any publicity is good buzz for either star.
I heard it is just both stars fan base blowing everything out of proportion. That or the venue egging things on for publicity. I don’t think I will ever understand the logic of fan bases in general. I simply like both actresses and find being a fanatic fan a waste of time and money but I know this is what makes the entertainment industry money so my only conclusion is it will never end with this kind of shenanigans. Has nothing to do with me and won’t affect me supporting both actresses.
I don’t know whether it’s true or not, the info I got is that this kind of thing is actually planned by the celebrities or their agency. And one thing i notice is that majority of fans behave similarly to the celebrities that they idolise. So if you see a toxic fandom, then you have to take a closer look at the celebrity that they are fans of.

Yeah, this is not actually good for zls. She is already considered a risky artist so attaching more issues to her name will only bring her trouble and not anything good.
If I were Yu, I’d call Zhao out over the fake mental health claims but that’s risky and could easily backfire. It’s such a sensitive topic and people tend to expect unquestioned support for anyone who comes forward, even without any medical proof. Still, it feels hard to ignore when it comes off as fabricated like someone playing it up for sympathy while doing perfectly fine, even more upbeat than usual, which doesn’t align with what real depression typically looks like. I wonder if that face reading master on weibo is right about her just hiding something from blowing up like some scandal about being a third party in a relationship. Previous readings of her by that master were favorable and turned out to be true about becoming very famous and ambitious.
Do you have any proof Lusi is lying, If you had ever had depression you would know its not something that is constant, it has ups and downs and it’s not like you spend every second with her and know she’s faking so why speak like you are sure she’s lying. Its easy to pretend, especially if you are an actress like her who has been pretending she’s fine for years, there were videos of her suffering in hospital, evidence of her fight with her company, and even a medical report. The people who keep on insisting she’s two faced have never faced depression, and as someone who has experienced it and has a lot of friends who have, I would know that real depression looks like different things for different people, unless there is ANY proof she is making this up please don’t assume things. (I also like Yu shuxin)

These days..instead of spending time improving one artistic skills, the ability to drive high traffic is the core skill. Data driven world we live in. No wonder AI development is so rapid.
But is Zhao Lusi filming? She has had a whole line of planned PR moves, like that cooking etc and then this which is all bringing talk. So where are the roles?
Fact is, in the end, it is money that counts, not hype. Take a good look at who was an idol actor/actress 5 or 10 years ago and who has moved onto better things and who is still stuck in idol dramas at best or at worst, pulling stunts like this.
In the end, industry cares about real money and real people. Not empty data.
If C celebs invest a lot more time on social exposure than advancing their pro skills, it’s because a lot of C-ent fans have a fetish for juicy gossips than the artistry itself. lol. Can’t blame celebs for playing games in their public activities cuz the market suggests they do so to their benefit.
Maybe folks c-netizens haven’t listened to the song? I listened to the song and it’s one of those average slow-tempo pop ballads that are a dime a dozen in cpop. The message sounds like a concerned woman giving a friend advice to not screw up her life by being with a man who already has a lover; don’t be the third party; and that sort of man is not worth it. The title sounds harsh, but the lyrics sound very concerned.
I think ZLS has better things to do then shade EY, questioning what happened to her is a b*** move, thankfully she doesn’t give a sh** about trolls. Fans need to grow up and understand that things are not how they view them and stop spreading baseless rumours.
