Daylight Entertainment’s Big Budget Period War C-drama Chongqing Express in Talks with Xiao Zhan and Luo Jin as Male Leads Playing Younger and Older Same Character
This week a big budget mainstream C-drama is being prepped and casting discussions make for a hhhhmmmm wondering if these two actors can make a seamless transition from the required younger to older. Daylight Entertainment has lined up its next C-drama the big budget period war patriotism epic Chongqing Express (重庆号) telling the real life story of the naval ship bearing that name during the 1940’s wartime era. The production is in talks with Xiao Zhan to play the younger version of the male lead, and Luo Jin to play the older version. Earlier this was discussed as a Hu Ge drama where he would play the older version but that fell through. Xiao Zhan and Hu Ge playing young/old versions of the same character would be awesome haha but alas that’s still a pipedream.

They don’t look anything alike.
I was about to say the same thing..lol
They are only 8 years apart lol what is this casting.
Actually they are 10 years apart – still not enough to play younger and older.
I am here to say/agree that they don’t look anything a like, and their age difference is not significant enough for this to work.
This was never discussed as Hu Ge’s drama. Of course Koala who hates XZ would report this fakery. Sorry girl, XZ doesn’t take Hu Ge’s leftovers.
This was offered to Xiao Zhan at least a year ago, if not more and he is the one Kong Sheng has always wanted for this.
There is also no proof that XZ has said yes. Considering what is happening with Daylight and Yixin, it’s becoming even less likely.
@Lmao
You are right. Koala doesn’t like XZ. There are comments for this article and she didn’t put the number for it like other articles. She didn’t update more comments here because my comment didn’t show up. I hope this one will show up.
I would like to see XZ in a modern romance drama again.
Can you please share what happened with Daylight and Yixin? Thanks.
My comments finally showed up today after I posted them a couple days ago. Thanks.
