Zhao Lu Si Sweeps the Top Three of the Most Recent Baidu Poll on Favorite 95-Flower Roles with Yu Shu Xin Making the List Not for Her Most Recent Hit Drama

This summer of 2022 was really a two-horse race of Love Between Fairy and Devil and Love Like the Galaxy, and it wasn’t for television ratings are both are web dramas but for buzz and cache. My two cents says both dramas are male lead dominant, i.e. it benefitted Dylan Wang and Wu Lei respectively more than the female leads. That’s kinda validated with the most recent Baidu poll on favorite 95-flower drama roles taken last month and it actually adds new dramas to my to-watch list. 10th spot goes to Bai Lu for her role as Zhao Yao in The Legends, then its Zhou Ye in modern drama Better Days in 9th spot, followed by Song Zu Er as Yu Ran in Novoland: Eagle Flag in 8th. Liuliang queen Yu Shu Xin makes the 7th spot not for Fairy but for her role as Cai Minmin in Find Yourself. Ren Min takes the 6th spot for Serenade of Peaceful Joy and then 5th for her role in Cry Me a Sad River so a double whammy. Her Serenade female lead Wang Chu Ran is in the 4h spot and then it’s a Zhao Lu Si sweep all the way starting with LLTG role of Cheng Shao Shang in 3rd, then her second female lead role in The Long Ballad, and taking top spot is none other than Chen Qian Qian in Romance of Tiger and Rose. This is a poll of course of favorite roles for the post-95 flowers so no comparison to the older top queens that are Yang Mi, Dilraba Dilmarut, Yang Zi, Liu Shi Shi, Crystal Liu, and Zhao Li Ying.

Zhao Lu Si Sweeps the Top Three of the Most Recent Baidu Poll on Favorite 95-Flower Roles with Yu Shu Xin Making the List Not for Her Most Recent Hit Drama — 19 Comments

  1. Honest question. Why is Bai Lu on this list? Are ages calculated differently in China like in Korea. She was born pre-95, but somehow I often see in her name in the 95 circle of discussions. Why her and no one else born before 1995 included in these 95 discussions? I am curious.

    • Nope, they follow majority of the world for age calculation. I would say it’s a marketing tactic. Basically they try to join an age group with more “opportunities” or to extend the lifespan of their careers as female celebrities’ careers is generally shorter than male celebrities. Tang Yan was lumped together with the 85er flowers even though her birth year is 1983. Zhang Tianai and Jing Tian (both are 1988) also tried to join the 90er group because the 85er group is very full.

  2. Never been so disgusted by an actress and her low antics. Ruthlessly and shamelessly stepping on co-star to boost her own popularity.

  3. Koala you seem to be a Lusi fan, can you comment on whether Jing Boran has run off from that Hidden God drama he was supposed to film with her. What happened did he really quit?

  4. @ anon…who were you referring to..shamelessly stepping on co star to boost her popularity? When, where was that incident with a co-star. Please explain.

    • I keep seing this Anon person in the comments being hateful every time Koala updates us about Zhao Lusi. If you hate Lusi and you feel that Koala is a fan of her then why are you here in Koalas page? Why bother reading about Lusi recent news/movements whatsoever? Stop attacking those who likes Zhao Lusi and stop coming to Koala page if you think she’s spreading misinformation simply because you disagree with what Koalas writes on her page. Take a chill pill.

      • I noticed that, too. Anon spews so much hate whenever the news is about Zhao Lusi. It’s like Lusi personally wronged him/ her. My advice to you Anon is not read news about Lusi and keep your hate to yourself. People who worked with Lusi, from the staff to the cast, they only have good things to say about her. If you have personal grievances against Lusi,go to her agency and file your complaints there. Otherwise, take a chill pill. Don’t get high blood pressure.

  5. There were also some actress that I don’t like. But I don’t go on every article commenting how I hate her. Instead I write good stuff about actresses I really like. Bad opinions are better kept to yourself. Parents should teach their children to shut up if they don’t have anything good to say.
