Hhhhmmm, I’ll believe this when I see it, or at least when I see more promos drop in the coming days. New rumor this week has it that Youku will air Kill Me Love Me sometime next week in mid-October. Starring Wu Jin Yan and Liu Xue Yi, it’s as good a time to air it since both had small hits in their last respective dramas, her with The Double and him with In Blossom. Maybe Youku wants to air it now before Wu Jin Yan gets too pregnant belly to promote and goes on maternity hiatus, who knows. The drama seems way darker with an evil-ish male lead than I expected. I also don’t like the voice dub for Wu Jin Yan, bring back the chick who did her in The Double it was a fantastic combo. Check out the teaser preview and see if this interests you.

I so want to watch this!
It’s a very loose adaptation of a popular novel with a big fandom that will certainly be pissed off if the changes are not up to their taste. The drama’s production team already said they had to do tons of changes to pass censorship because the novel is insanely gory, violent and angsty.
It’s only 32 episodes! Thank you to whoever made it happen.

This novel has the reddest flag ML I’ve ever read. He was unforgiveable in many, many instances. I don’t know how they’re going to whitewash his character.
I actually dropped the novel because of how trashy bad the male MC was. We get a small taste by the trailer, but it is certain he will be absolved of all his sins in the show and be just a bit whimsical 😄
There is no way the drama would follow that novel. The novel ML was insanely dark. He was not romance material, LOL. If they even followed half of what he did, there is no way the drama will let the couple have an HE.
As far I know, WJY dubbed herself in The Double.
No, in The Double she was dubbed by Qiu Qiu, same voice actress that dubbed her in Story of Yanxi Palace, maybe that is why you thought that that’s WJY’s real voice.

Yep, the novel was dark for real. Geez it was a journey reading it all, especially with that ML. I only read on because of the FL; bless her heart. I really wonder how they’re gonna be fleshed out in the drama.
Great trailer with two actors that I enjoy watching. Wu Jing-yan is good at getting the audience to feel for her and root for her character. I like her voice here and it suits the setting. And Liu Xue-yi is great at giving the villainous anti-hero vibes.
