Chen Zhe Yuan in Talks for Director Guo Jingming’s Next Period C-drama Inferno of Wings
So this feels like a perfect match to me, and one that feels inevitable. Director Guo Jingming is a visual above all else director and producer and it’s only a matter of time before he goes through all the visual male leads in C-drama land. This time he’s landed on Chen Zhe Yuan who casting rumors say will be the male lead for his next drama Inferno of Wings (Chinese title 燃羽 Ran Yu). I’m glad it’s not going to be Tian Jia Rui who I still feel is not headlining male lead material and doesn’t annoy me as the second male lead so keep sticking him there. The female lead remains unconfirmed at this time.
Guo Jingming….Oh dear.
Some fun fact: Chen Zheyuan gave Guo Jingming’s work only 1 star through his Douban reviews page. He clearly doesn’t think Guo Jingming is a good director, so this matchup feels very unlikely.
It would be funny if for some reason koalas is wrong and he ends up choosing his muse again… his dramas are a bit odd visually though.
It feels like I hear about Guo Jing Ming working on a new project every month lately. Will there just be a year where his dramas air one after another?
