Hunan TV and Mango Reportedly to Release Flourished Peony Part 2 In the Name of Blossom with Yang Zi and Li Xian This End of June

Well the clown car of C-dramas being released in June adds another one, as word on the street is that Part 2 of Flourished Peony (国色芳华 Guo Se Fang Hua) will be joining the festivities. The drama has a different title of In the Name of Blossom (锦绣芳华 Jin Xiu Fang Hua) but is a continuation of the story with the same leads Yang Zi and Li Xian. The drama was filmed in one go but split into two parts to get around the 40-episode limit. I still haven’t watched Part 1 because I wasn’t invested enough in the leads or the story premise to go into a half drama watch like I did with Lost You Forever, which was worth it but so painful. Part 1 got decent reviews and medium-high views so if the second half is stronger it could totally buoy the whole drama up one notch.

  2. Koala and her always so wonderful reviews of yang zi dramas needs to be studided cause saying that it got decent reviews and mid high views is just wow to me. A drama that broke so many records, the drama with the higehest raters on douban, broke viewing records for mango and created a whole cultural wave, made 2B plus won for mango (they put it in their financial report) and also made it to huace’s financial report, sold out so many things pertaining to the dramam like the jade abacus used, peony flowers and the likes DEFINITELY did not receive ‘mid high views’
