Last week on April 22nd a new C-drama premiered the Tencent modern romance Will Love in Spring (春色寄情人) starring Li Xian and Zhou Yu Tong adapted from a novel. Neither of the leads are liuliang or buzzy search stars but still this drama was getting pretty strong pre-airing interest due to the age-appropriate coupling and the general promos making the drama seem warm and sexy. It’s been a week now and the commentary is really strong in Douban and the online chatter has only grown with good work of mouth for the lead couple’s chemistry, interesting character set up and growth development, and a strong writing/directing combo.
