Written Preview for Episode 18 of In A Good Way
LOL, I think my sweet precious darling perfect In A Good Way is getting a bit of its Friday thunder stolen by Bride of the Century. BotC was formerly airing Sat-Sun but its unexpected popularity led the network to switch the airing to Fri-Sat. Not that the two dramas are competing in any way, shape, or form other than for my attention every Friday, and boy will it be a tense internal struggle to see which drama prompts me to watch live first since it overlaps. Oh lord, the hard life decisions that I am faced with. Heh. Last week’s episode 17 of IAGW was like a tangential field trip from the story proper, though one could easily argue that fun trips with friends and significant others are just as central to the college experience as studying and exams. It’s Summertime in the IAGW story timeline which means the kids are all relaxing and doing their own thing, but that doesn’t mean the next school year isn’t right around the corner. The written preview for episode 18 shows that the break is over and everyone heads back to class, with a group of the characters entering their critical senior year of college. No one worries about Liu Chuan’s future, the man can mint money with his brain if he wanted to, but the concern is that emotionally he’ll always be forced to do something he doesn’t believe in. Jia En faces a different dilemma which is that she has no goals or greater purpose in life (yet), which seems to be a recurring theme in her life of needing a push to kick start her own life search. Truth be told she has plenty of time to figure it out since she’s just a sophomore, except dating the cutest and smartest boy on campus is going to be pressure on her to feel like she can keep up. I don’t mind if they argue in episode 18 of it leads to Jia En starting to probe what her future entails, especially if the arguing also leads to making out up afterwards.
Written preview for episode 18:
The alluring sunset at Tanshui. Rumor has it that lovers who date here will have their romance sped up. Tracy waits for Ah Qing to meet her, but Ah Qing runs into a major obstacle that he can’t say no to. Soon all the elder Treasure Club members will be college seniors. Everyone starts planning their future.
Ren Wei’s dream future is all sorts of exciting, with a beautiful secretary, a loving wife, and his favorite sesame oil fried egg. Ri Qi’s future is riding his bicycle around the island but Xiao Wei thinks that is not a serious enough goal. Should a college graduate first consider the future profession or the future dream?
Liu Chuan’s future is to go study abroad, and he’s already decided this path a long time ago. Jia En is only a sophomore and she hasn’t even thought about what she wants to do in the future. Jia En suddenly feels the distance between her and Liu Chuan is so vast. Her future path….which way should she go that is right for her?
It seems like all the couples will have their ‘conflicts’ to deal with in this episode. I’m actually looking forward to it since it’s really part of growing up process. Yup plus the make up session that comes after is what it’ll make it worthwhile 🙂

I completely agree with this statement, which makes me think that his father really has no idea what kind of person his son is if he is so concerned about him having a “bright” future. If I could be as sure about my kids’ future, I would sleep really well every single night. However, he does not seem to know or really care to know the real Lui Chuan; no wonder his mother has decided to live on her own elsewhere. (I cannot believe the press is not having a field day with this in the plot here, but the story is not really about the parents, so I get it). The picture of Jia En and Lui Chuan in the library above is so adorable that I am ready for them to be made into stuffed animals.

Thanks, Ms. Koala, for the preview. Cannot wait to get home and watch it raw even though I don’t understand a jot of what they say LOL. This is how much I love this drama. And RW seriously needs to snap out of this phase he’s got going on. It’s seriously not doing much service to his personal growth.
