Engaged Stars Michelle Chen and Chen Xiao Create Lovely Handmade Wedding Invitation and Gifts for Guests
So pretty, and in such a personal way too! Engaged star couple Michelle Chen and Chen Xiao are getting married at the end of July and now their personally hand designed wedding invitations and guest gifts have been unveiled. In a wheat toned background, the invitation features a Double C connected by a diamond motif that Chen Xiao created to signify their same last name Chen union, with adorable bunnies drawn by Michelle Chen because her beloved Chen Xiao was born in the year of the rabbit. Their invitation is a handwritten note of their love and union to guests, with each verse written by one and the following the other and so on, and the verses written by Mainland Chinese born Chen Xiao are in simplified Chinese while Taiwan-born Michelle writes in traditional Chinese. The guest presents are traditional Chinese wedding cookies and cakes in a bunny motif round hat boxes.
Aw the card design is actually very Victorian. I know both bride and groom share the same interest in art and design. Chen Xiao even showed off his published anime and game design drawings in an interview.
