So the written preview for episode 15 of Big tells us who was awake at the end of episode 14, so if you want to stay unspoiled then avoid it at all costs. I swear I wrote my hypothesis before this preview was released, so if I’m right then my streak continues, and if I’m wrong then I happily sit … Continue reading →
I’m been trying hard not to keep speculating about who woke up at the end of episode 14 of Big, despite my post-recap assertion that it was most likely Yoon Jae. But my Big love got the better of me, that and the niggling sensation that there might be proof of who it was based on clues hidden in the … Continue reading →
Oh goodness with a side of Mexican jumping beans, why does Gong Yoo and the production of Big want to stick an extra long knife into my heart AND twist it around for good measure? KBS just announced that, aside from cast member Suzy contributing a track to the Big OST, the drama’s most awesome we-are-not-worthy male lead Gong Yoo will … Continue reading →
I should call episode 14 of Big: tears, fears, and emotional jawdrops. After a dizzying episode 13 full of machinations and revelations, Big returned to form today with an episode that was beautifully heartfelt. Kyung Jae and Da Ran talked, and talked, and talked some more, even if sometimes they said angry and contrary things neither meant. But in the … Continue reading →
I know episode 13 of Big gave the majority of viewers a collective hernia. Strangely I was nonplussed, probably cuz I had faith the Hong Sisters were using a collection of drama angst tropes merely as a set up, and would wind the drama down the same way they built it up, with tenderness and patience. Episode 14 validated my … Continue reading →
When Gong Yoo cries, I cry. Its days like this that make me wish I was just an ordinary drama watcher without the recapping stint on the side. Writing about episode 13 of Big is challenging, because the story went into hyperdrive at the same time all the emotions exploded from all sides until I feel fairly suffocated with hurt … Continue reading →
Pain. Paiiiiin. So much pain. I feel like someone sucker punched me and I’m still reeling from the turnaround. Big might be the shortest period of time an OTP has had to be happy together before the big hammer of doom dropped. But to comfort myself, I look back and realize that Kyung Jae and Da Ran have been happy … Continue reading →
Get ready for the water works, people, as Kyung Jae learns the cold hard truth on the upcoming episode of Big! Clearly we’re getting tears, plus plenty of anger and recriminations, all of which will be well-deserved coming from Kyung Joon towards his no-good parents. I’ve said before that I personally find the savior sibling phenomenon to be morally and … Continue reading →
Da Ran and Kyung Jae end up spending a night in jail in episode 13 of Big? I’m sure its for a laughable infraction, but seeing them tightly holding hands and sleeping nestled against each other is surely worth sending the OTP to the clink for a night. I’m glad to see that Da Ran and Kyung Jae will have … Continue reading →
The preview for episode 13 of Big is literally a roller coast of emotions within 30 seconds. The long-awaited sweetness between Kyung Jae and Da Ran sends me into happy land, and then Yoon Jae’s mom and Mari plop me back into the ugly world where selfishness and jealousy will surely erect obstacles between the OTP. Looks like the final … Continue reading →
The first stills for next week’s episodes of Big have appeared, and it surely relaxes all of us worried that Da Ran might get cold feet about choosing Kyung Joon despite the kiss at the end of episode 12. I’m going to say Kyung Joon, instead of Kyung Jae, because I really feel that Da Ran is in love with … Continue reading →
I’m so angry and all I want to do is slap a certain beyotch until she sees stars. The written preview for episode 13 of Big is out and it send my blood boiling and blood pressure rising. It’s really short, as per the usual KBS style of leaving us clamoring for more. But what it does say leads me … Continue reading →
Mind maps of drama characters have been quite popular for a few years now, as fans of a drama take the time write up what our beloved characters have rattling around in their fictional brains. For Big, this mind map might actually be useful because this is one drama that causes a lot of consternation over what Da Ran and … Continue reading →
