MBC to Air Two Drama Specials Next Week and Delay Me Too, Flower Premiere By One Week
MBC has confirmed that Can’t Lose will be wrapping up this week with a total of 18 episodes. But since Yoon Si Yoon just started filming for Me Too, Flower!, stepping in for the injured Kim Jae Won, clearly that drama is not ready to premiere next week. MBC has announced that it will be airing two one-episode Best Theater short dramas next week to fill the gap, allowing Flower to premiere in two weeks time. The two drama specials, both of which aired last year on Sunday nights, will be Na Moon Hee and Nam Ji Hyun’s It’s Me, Grandmother, a drama special that was even nominated at the Monte Carlo TV Festival, and Ahn Nae Sang and Kim Hwan Hee’s Jo Eun Ji’s Family.
It’s Me, Grandmother is described as a heartwarming story between a fake grandmother and her fake granddaughter. Supposedly Nam Ji Hyun’s character tries to con the granny played by Na Moon Hee, but a strange and warm relationship develops between them as fake family members. In Jo Eun Ji’s Family, a little girl named Jo Eun Ji has to learn to accept her single dad’s new relationship with a single mom. While I don’t watch any drama specials, I’ve always heard great things about some of the ones that are wonderfully done. To me this is a win-win situation, Flower gets an extra week to prepare, and some lesser known drama specials get a chance to shine in a prime time spot.
aww the grandma one sounds like it’ll bring tears to my eyes if i watch it… love that girl though, she’s definitely one of those child actors to look out for.
i still find the yoon si yoon – lee ji ah pairing way weird but we’ll see…
damn I really wanted to watch this Best Theater episode because I love both NJH and NMH…lol…they have very similar initials
