it’s countdown time to upcoming Fuji TV Getsu 9 (Monday at 9) J-dorama 5-ji kara 9-ji made (From Five to Nine), premiering next Monday October 12th just in time to fully usher in the fall season. I’m hoping a mood that is less the heady summer romance style and instead chock full of sass and edge. Starring Ishihara Satomi and Yamashita Tomohisa, the dorama definitely paired together two of the currently popular drama leads, and judging from online reaction, two stars that many fans have been clamoring to work together.

It’s pretty cute how Satomi is always so expressive, whereas Yamapi is known for exactly the opposite with his Yamapi blank face. I have to say he’s shown amazing potential in Nobuta wo Produce but mainly costs on his leading man looks. It’s an extra treat for Satomi to get two additional talented male leads to give her more guys to pick from, whether it’s sweet nerdy Furukawa Yuki or charming Mokomichi Hayami. The official drama poster with the cute pink backdrop and the two leads is totally up my alley, hope the end product is as enjoyable as the promos have been so far.
