Choi Kang Hee and Kwon Sang Woo Hold Script Reading for Mystery Queen 2 with New Supporting Cast

Yay for some positive news around a K-drama to wash away some of the worry of Hwayugi‘s beleaguered state. KBS held the script reading for season 2 of it’s cult favorite housewife cop partner detective drama Mystery Queen (Queen of Mystery), taking over in late February 2018 from Black Knight on the Wed-Thurs time slot. The fantastic leads are back and I seriously could have never imagined how much I would like both Kwon Sang Woo and Choi Kang Hee in their respective roles, the first time I’ve liked him this much in a K-drama and for her its the best role since her turn in Protect the Boss. The second leads won’t be back which I’m fine with, this time it will be Lee Da Hee and Oh Min Seok playing second fiddle to the quirky detective duo. Also joining are fantastic character actors in Kim Tae Woo (loved his guest starring turn in Black), Kim Won Hae (also phenomenal in Black and While You Were Sleeping), and Park Byung Eun from This Life is Our First. So looking forward to a return to this interesting drama world!
