Xianxia C-drama The Longest Promise with Xiao Zhan and Ren Min Release New Stills for Mid-Autumn Festival with No Airing Date in Sight

The title for The Longest Promise may end up prescient if this drama keeps on never having an air date. There are plenty of long shelved C-dramas but so far this one doesn’t have a scandal and the topic isn’t (yet) contain anything the C-government wants to discourage from being shown. The drama released two new stills last weekend with Xiao Zhan and Ren Min to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival, and I realized this drama is actually a companion piece to Mirror: Twin Cities. It’s set in the same xianxia universe from the novels by the same writer, and I didn’t like either the novel of Mirror and the drama was so bad it’s in the pantheon of shit dramas even before that drama’s male lead Li Yi Feng got cancelled. I’m nervous because the world building for the Kong Sang fantasy world was really convoluted but a drama adaptation done well can correct it in live action format. I’m also attached the first trailer for this drama released last year as the drama has been done filming for over a year now.

  • xiao zhan is such a good looking dude. i saw a video of ren min dancing underwater, and was completely floored. hope that artistry translates to her acting too.

  • El es divino ,realiza siempre su papel con la mayor dedicación es un hombre realmente maravilloso en todos los aspectos.

  • Xiao Zhan had to lay low after the catastrophe that he and his fandom committed lol. His projects had to be put on the backburner for a couple years already. Airing of Oath of Love was like pulling teeth. I thought he's already on the clear but I guess not yet. Apart from cfs, he had not had his drama aired, no holiday gala stage performance, no awards attendance nor variety shows.

    • Seriously you guys need to stop focusing on Xiao Zhan more than your own idol. It's already 2022, we all know 227 is created by his rivals because they couldn't find any dirt on him to make into a scandal.

Xiao Zhan's Ace Troops broadcasted just fine and he had a stage performance related to this. Two of his dramas, Ace Troops and The Oath of Love, already aired on both TV and web and repeated TV broadcast numerous times this year. He is a serious and respectable actor who takes time to analyse his drama character, filming two dramas a year is at the right pace.

    • Aww, are ickle toilets upset? You tried so hard to kill Xiao Zhan's career to make sure your talentless hack would take over and you still failed. Must burn you something awful. Better concentrate on your swollen face and why he's having a clearance sale of his movies. If you paid half asuch attention to him as you did to Xiao Zhan maybe he wouldn't be tanking so badly.
