Oh wow, this is some shit show happening live and goodness would I have loved to be a fly on the wall of the behind-the-scenes craziness. iQiyi posted on its official drama Weibo page for Legend of Kunning Palace with Bai Lu and Zhang Ling He on the morning of May 19th that the drama was premiering that very day in the evening. Good news, albeit yet again one of those frustrating sudden C-drama drops. Except this one didn’t end up dropping despite the last minute confirmation – a mere two hours before the drama was set to be released the production announced that it was being delayed due to technical difficulties. Like, did a dog eat the finished film lol. No word on what those difficulties are or when the drama will get released, my guess is last minute the C-censors nixed the probably probably due to something problematic they thought about the storyline.

Cdrama platform are so unprofessional and disrespectful to their customers. You don’t know when anything is going to air. Imagine having to subscribe only to watch the drama and have it cancel afterwards.
Jeez, I'd never want to invest my money on Cdramas or Cfilms. No way is this acceptable on business deals. Especially after all the money already spent to produce something.
The third male lead has some problematic issues, and that happened many months ago. Yet the production team and iQiyi refused to edit that guy out and attempted to try their luck by pressing on with the release.
And before all the anti-Chinese commenters here get high, iQiyi may be a Chinese platform, but a large number of their executives and investors are Taiwanese and other countries.
Seriously c-ent should really improve themselves. Show being cancelled last minutes is so unprofessional of them. Cheating behavior towards customer and sponsors. This platform need to buy vip to watch without ads, many fans knowing it will be broadcast must have bought a bunch. I heard that the delay might be cause by 3rd male lead controversy recently. If they think that would be a problem why don't they re-edit or nixxed his part first before trying to broadcast rather than spending time to hype the show, come out with 🍉 about broadcast only to cancel them last minute? smh
What's even more crazy and funny is that after the drama release got cancelled at the last minute, a number of posts and videos popped up on various platforms complimenting the drama plus the male and female leads' acting! 😂 It goes something like this: "Just finished watching the first episode, the drama's so gooood! The opening OST is great and the male lead is so hot!" 😂😂😂
