Week Three of Lost You Forever Airing Brings the Main Plot to Crescendo with Romance, Tension, Plotting, and a Three Dude Race to Save Their Girl

I can’t believe it’s already week three in Lost You Forever drama airing, the time has flown by with the only slowdown when there is a break in new episode drops. Thankfully Tencent hasn’t done the 3 days drop 4 days break schedule and instead swapped it which means this Thursday got us all the way to episode 30. It’s a good place to break after so much has happened, leaving Xiao Yao basically dead but on her way to getting revived thanks to the collectively efforts of her three men (Jing keeping her unburned and filled with spiritual power, Cang Xuan/Zhuan Xu using his guards to also keep her body in statis, and Xiang Liu spiriting her away to trade one of his lives for hers using their linked Lovers Bug). Week 3 had something for everyone – showing us how intense and insane Cang Xuan/Zhuan Xu is for the throne because he needs to protect Xiao Yao, how adorable in love Jing and Xiao Yao are when they are allowed to exist in their own little world, and how Xiang Liu wrote a decades long love letter to Xiao Yao as Fang Feng Bei to teach her archery and wander Xuan Yuan castle with her. One thing LYF the drama doesn’t do well is the time passage, it feels like weeks/months in the drama when it’s actually years and years, which matters because for Cang Xuan/Zhuan Xu it shows the long planning and execution and for Xiang Liu and Xiao Yao it hammers home how much time they spent together just playing the world with each other as themselves. I also loved that the drama keeps the humor such as Feng Long mancrush on Cang Xuan/Zhuan Xu and his idiocy wooing Xiao Yao and Ah Nian’s bratty future spouse selection. This story really has something for everyone and it’s not too late to get on the LYF train and suffer beautifully with us.

Week Three of Lost You Forever Airing Brings the Main Plot to Crescendo with Romance, Tension, Plotting, and a Three Dude Race to Save Their Girl — 8 Comments

  1. The drama adaptation showed very well why our 3 MLs loved Xiao Yao so much. Just sharing my thoughts…
For Jing – she saved him, gave him back his dignity as a man after his horrific torture by his brother and showed her understanding of his soft character towards his family, care and love for him as they get to know each other.
For Cang Xuan – showed how she is even willing to use herself as his cover and willing to die for him when FFB was going to shoot an arrow at him, take a killing blow from Xiang Liu, saved him by helping his blood to clot after FFYY shot at him, helping him to detox his addiction and freely allow him to use her connections and aid him in his ambition to be emperor.
For Xiang Liu – to be his ever ready medicinal elixir supplier whenever he is injured, share and understand his loneliness and give him companionship and accept all of him as nine heads demon, willing to aid and plot with him and kidnap Ah Nian to get back the medicines for his rebel soldiers from Cang Xuan knowing Cang Xuan will take revenge, show her thoughts and care for him and his soldiers by asking Jing for the medicine, and making him poison treats, fly around and be with lonely/solitary Xiang Liu similar to her being FFB’s playmate.
How can these 3 MLs not fall in love with her and reciprocate her care for them.

    • Beautifully said…they all love her in their own ways because she has shown kindness and empathy. I guess her super power is thinking of others before herself. Also, she loves them all for different reasons. But her personality goes all in, there are no half ways with her. For men never put first, that’s addictive.

    • All three men have their own obsession of love for XY. I’m more partial to CX because of their tragic childhood past which caused the ripples in the present. And I understand the complexity of his character making those tough decisions only for XY, at the same time still caring for her happiness.
I feel for Jing but whenever I see or read a story of someone who already has power, wealth, elegance, talent, etc… they can always bounce back without having to rely on anyone unless they lose it all. And XY was his redemption elixir to life.
XL, is a fan favorite and I can see why. XY and him are very similar and share some common past as well. XY and XL live a carefree life that she loves but due to his obligations and enemy to CX cannot give her the home she wants.

Either way it’s heartbreaking how Tong Hua writes a novel of such complexity in characters but magnificent that she can create such a compelling story.

  2. Agree agree that XL understands these men from a place they cannot fathom. She lived as a hunted child, as a formless shape shifter and an imprisoned snack. Her happiest times were living as a man helping people with medical issues. Have any of these men lived as a women? Perhaps only Jing in his most powerless times of torture can really understand her.

    • I totally agree with FanKing…

And as a woman, i totally understand her choice. I will always root for Xiang Liu… he’s like a roller-coaster. Xuan is just a red flag, keep him as a brother only. Will never think of him as a man.
Jing, i find him boring, both in novel and drama. But, a woman like XiaoYao will always choose a man who gives her a feeling of ‘home’. Something that xiangliu will never be able to give as an adventurer.

I read some melons saying Yangzi and Tan Jianci will act in a costume drama, i really hope to see them in a drama. Tan Jianci’s acting is really amazing.

  3. Iono… does SHE deserve any of the guys? Lol. She cool gal, but sometimes the way she treats them, uhhhhhh! Especially Jing! Boy!! Lol

  4. I’m stoke. Let’s be clear: the person who understood her heart’s desires and what she truly wanted was not Jing and CX nor Feng Long, but Xiang Liu alone. It was XL to whom she opened her heart’s desires, secrets, vulnerabilities, and fears. XY is scared of loneliness; that’s why XL brought Jing back to life (trading his one life), as XL himself cannot accompany her forever. XL knew his death was coming, or more like, he had to die, so there would be peace. XL wanted XY to keep living, as there is more to it, and be free, as XY wanted to be free as well. That’s why she kept shedding blood on it.
