So this casting news is as funny as watching the Kentucky Derby and the top three neck in neck horses suddenly get beat by one horse that didn’t even make the front of the pack after a last turn breakneck gallop. The leads are confirmed for the third chapter of the Fox Spirit Matchmaker drama series the Wang Quan chapter and the names didn’t even make any of the previous rumored castings. The drama will star Cheng Yi and Li Yi Tong go the ages are a few years older than the slate of younger actors and actresses previously associated with this drama. The first teaser poster is above and gives of The Sword of Aramun vibes and seems much more war and politics centered than the first two chapters. I’m indifferent to the two leads but at least both can act so yay for that.

I am excited to see the finished product. I love both of them in costume dramas. This is perfectly casted IMO because first already has Yang Mi and Gong Jun. Second chapter has Liu Shi Shi and Leon Zhang w/tons of younger actors/actresses. Let’s all wait and see for the finished product.
